I did mine without being smart enough to raise the truck like you did. I will be doing that for the next one. I am stubborn enough just to deal with things the way they are instead of spending just a few minutes to make the material condition more friendly to work on.
No weasels, but I allow our outside cat (one of which I picked up out of the middle of the road-half dead tiny kitten) to come and go as she pleases. I just leave a window down and she uses it at will. She knows to let it idle for a few minutes before shutting down.

Replaced my in tank pump with a Parker. Had it a while and decided to go ahead and do it. The original one is getting louder so I am sure it is on its way out the door. The in tank pump was not the problem but now I know it is a good pump.
