Making your own Shc-35 battery pack? This helps!

I was just at the electronic store yesterday looking for that molex connector. All they had locally in 9-pin was a .93 size and it looked way too small.

1995 1078 NOS ctis inflating tires to 80psi and flashing over speed at 30mph

It wouldn't be allowed to do that on MY truck. :)

Wrong CTIS controller? Sounds like you may have a newer version on an older truck. I recall reading somewhere that that's no bueno.

    Rear Tail Lights

If I'm not mistaken, these trucks don't have a separate run/turn/brake circuit. I think they are limited to "on" (running/park) and "intermittent" (flasher/brake). I don't think that there is a third independent signal wired (brake and flash share the same). So like most all vehicles...

    M1087 vs bridge

It ended up in Hooks, TX for disposal. A lot of trucks do. Why? It's the Army way...

    2008 A1R with 260a charging questions

Texas took a sharp turn and banned dune buggies some years back. Sent out letters demanding the titles and plates back. You must register your vehicle in the state you reside. I found a less-anal state that registers them, started an LLC in that state, licensed the cars, and they are...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Just get larger rims and less tire. Easier to balance... *I bet the CA owners in here are sporting wood about now "rad d00d"

FMTV chassis selection for camper build

Oh I'm not debating the rarity of the truck. I'm just pointing out that searching GP's prior sales will result in incomplete info/picture with regards to what's been sold by them (and often for what amount). For example, HETs are rare and fetch very high prices (50-75K). A few months...

    Mudflaps for front tires

FMTV chassis selection for camper build

GP flushes out auctions that don't fetch what they consider a minimal amount. They also flush the database after a certain time (I used to have "watched items" from years back but now it cuts off at 2019..

    Paging Dr Ronmar, etc

OK, so while awaiting local PD to do the vin check on the other truck I took the time and popped open the driverside kick panel. I re-seated any connections I found and...the issue seems resolve. Yeah! Thanks all.

    Paging Dr Ronmar, etc

I grew up around boats and every darned thing has to have it's own ground (same with fiberglass Corvettes).

    Paging Dr Ronmar, etc

Rgr that. I was just in panic mode. Drove home once I was confident it was all just false positives. No issue other than the short. I don't have much choice in the morning (only opportunity to get the vin checked before the new year and that truck needs to be off to it's new home...

2008 A1R Dash is going tits up. Speedo, 12v gauge, oil psi all blink out to zero (Low Oil dummy comes on). Fuel, 24v and air readings normal. Then I hit a little bump and Check Trans light comes on, then goes off, then all gauges come back to life. No funny noises, smoke, smells, etc...

FMTV chassis selection for camper build

The one that went for $9K was the one that hit the overpass while on a trailer. The habitat was totaled. And given the forces it saw, I'd worry a bit about the chassis. So it was a worst a parts truck, at best a long chassis.

New member - I'm in it for the long haul - My BAe 2009 - M1093A1

Yeah, I think you're correct. I noticed two box channels. Same as the M1079 ladder stowage but shorter and further apart. I'm kinda fuzzy on how you would get under it to push the deck up (I guess you'd have to get under it by the doors and push). But yeah...

MV of the Month December 2021

I'll throw my rig into the mix...

Picture of m1079 with box removed.

I'd not be shocked if the M934 bolted right up to the M1087. I know people have interchanged the shelters between the M934 and the MTV long chassis. Thus my thinking here is those two use the same (captured spring) setup.
