As a large percentage of def is water I would suggest a centerfuge to recycle it. I would not run it as the effects on your fuel system will be the same as water plus the corrosive effects of urea.
The solenoids can be repaired to, you will replace 2 contacts and a plunger disc. When they go bad the disc gets eroded and the contacts burn away, usually the solenoids can be disassembled while the starter stays on the equipment
You will need to find a 4 b serial number with a p7100 pump, than you can give that info to cummins to find the part number. I know zoom boom tellahandlers had a p7100 pump, also some bread trucks had them, you might do an ebay search for a 4 b with a p7100 pump and ask the seller for the...
Right pull codes through key pad. In Iraq we had issues with the internal harnesses but it also exceeded 115 degrees out side I maintain a fleet of Allison 3000's here and have had no problems with them here in the us. it should use a dutch conector if uou have a wtecIII transmission and...
One can buy new air cans for a reasonable price that's the way I would go my time is money. I would rather get right back on the road, and where I live any way I go I have to order in the parts and wait for them to arrive weather permitting.
I have a little experience here ,I own an lmtv right now but cut my teeth on the old duce and 5 tons, if you get a truck like that for sand, you want at least the super singles, and a functioning ctis is better. I air down the lmtv all the time and tow trailers through some nasty sand with out...
I don't know what the beef is the only complaint I have about mine is climbing in. I drive a f550 at work its a pig the ride will jar your guts out and the turning radius is like a hemmtt. My best guess is like you say no radio and cant do 80mph.
Look in your tm, the over fill is only when checking oil before starting. The tm also states the proper way to gauge the oil level, is to start the truck, than shut it off and let sit.
that warning you speak of was something added on at the unit I have never seen it painted on the engine or...
the 3116 can also suffer a run away if the rack isn't adjusted properly just like a Detroit so don't mess with rack adjustments unless you have the tool kit
all those pumps are positive displacement the other option you might see is a centrifugal pump but those are for light liquids like fuel and water. I think what you are asking is do you need a fixed flow pump or variable swashplate pump which would give you a variable floe and pressure. My short...
I might be reading between the lines but I believe it has something to do with preventing folks like me from buying fmv's and using them commercially because they are basic and reliable. I could be wrong I would bet however i'm not far off just look at some of the problems smaller operators are...
The duce met safety standards of the day for the medium duty class of vehicles. They should be grandfathered in. When I tried to register my lmtv I was told the same thing as your document showed. new mv's couldn't be registered because of the off road restriction. I pointed out my sf 97 says...
Usually when this happens its a torn o ring in the purge valve, also look at the relief valve on top mine started leaking this winter and I had to replace it. its kind of balmy out right now around 7 degrees with a 30 mph wind.
I think you would have a hard time squeezing in a double counter shaft transmission you might look at the 6 speed eaton used in older f800 trucks is a little longer a t case relocation would be needed but I think other wise it would fit. you would get 5 close ratio gears with one overdrive.
Personally I would go with a 12 valve cummins and stay away from any thing electronic. A mechanical unimog would be another good choice, maybe a better choice for travels in other countrys where you may need parts and service, the unimog is really a globaly supported vehicle.
