just as an fyi, your slave plug hooks into the electrical system on the 24volt side. Thus if there is a dead short in the front battery, your 12 volt system becomes divided.
Running the system with a bad front battery breaking the system can cause the alternator to fail.
I would pull the batts out of the 1009 and put them in and try it. if the old batts are dead, they can create a dead short and drain themselves. Also. the power system is a linear circuit pos. and negative are actually supply and return thus bad batteries can break the path and cause it to have...
The first simple thing to check is your case ground on alt 1, if it is missing funny things can happen but this does not sound like your problem.
check the plug on the back of gen 1. it sounds like you may have a bad exciter wire to alt1. and possibly a bad diode trio in alt 1. The power to...
When you have serp. system done, please post up all of the info. I will source the parts eventually. I will go with chevy dual alt system when I find it. For now, I have to much to do so I am going to go use the stock cucv system.
My engine is shipping from AMG Nov1 I am supposed to have it by...
I have the 87 suburban seats in my 1009. they are on the cucv seat bases. I actually raised mine an inch with spacer rail. backs are little taller and have armrest, base is wider and much more comfortable
if you can get an isolated ground alt, it may be your easiest way out, just see if they have rebuild kits and can be rebuilt and you should only have to buy one.
I don't think the wiring harness needs to be modified. your alts need to be modified to work with the existing wiring harness you...
I keep an eye on things, this truck gets a lot of attention and it is easy to check under it. I am not worried about it.
My truck does not leak. it has all new rubber, seals, paint, I have had it in driving storms and here in Houston we get plenty of rain. I have it sealed and at any sign of a...
The inside has been stripped primed and painted with several coats of paint. The only way the padding is going to get wet is by me going through something to deep. I know at that time I will have to pull the pad out and let it dry.
The truck is being build for trail and multiple day off road...
If the car manufacturers jammed the signal, they would probably stop selling cars to today kids so I think it is a great idea. You want to get kids off the roads, thats one way to do it.
It is in a post somewhere. I did not put it in a thread that I remember. I used all LMC stuff. I bought two kits of the asphalt based and one kit of the padding and the rubber liner. I also added a thin (1/8 inch) stick on foam that has mylar on one side in the bed side walls. it is used for...
I think November 1st texas starts hands free only cell phone. no texting and driving.
I see signs for it here in College station and on 290 so I believe it is state wide.

I have the DS-1. The new model is DS-1e. Mine dose not have the digital read out.
connect to alt brown wire. you can use other sensors also
The plan would be to just clean sand and paint. the underside is pretty clean now, no rust. I am not a fan of rino liner or other liners that trap moisture between the liner and paint, also once the rust starts traveling under it, you cant fix it without removing liner and that is almost...
I figured that to be the case. Mine are pretty clean, I will start soaking them with PB blaster, I like that stuff.
I now have to figure out what to do with the body once removed. The inside is complete with triple insulated floor so if I turn it upside down, it will may not be good. leaving...
I have my motor out and front clip removed. My truck has been repainted except the fire wall and underside.
While I wait for my motor I was considering pulling the body off the frame so I can refinish the underside and also change my body mount rubber out.
can you get the 1009 body off and...
I will have to pull my old one out and look at it again. It has been a while.
I just got excited because I thought you found a pump that had two outputs which could be useful.
sorry it is past my bed time.
Rich
I have not seen one with a return on the back next to output when there is remote resevoir, the return normally goes to the tank on top when there is a remote reservoir. I am curious to what vehicle it is from. I am thinking a van.
is that the hose just looped back to the pump? looks like two hoses coming out of the back of the pump, that may just be the other end of the hose I am looking at.
The pic looks like there are two high pressure lines coming out of back of pump. may not be the case.
