Official 2013 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR13 thread

I'll volunteer several hours and days at the registration table, after the railroad is laid. EMD567 says he will work the gate wed morning with Phil. 0800-1200 Mike's stuff is more important than mine, mine is only to boost the rally truck and trailer count. :tinkerbell: So any drivers that...

Official 2013 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR13 thread

Any members in SC or really anywhere, that wants to go, but doesn't have anything to drive, contact me before hand and I'll put you in a pass seat or driver seat. I will have 5 trucks going, and there is only me and the wife. My flatbed will be hauling the 2013 GARRR (GA Rally Railroad) so the...

    Justification Help

There's an education system left? I thought it was a baby's sitter type institution now. How many miles are you planning to drive a year? More on road than off? Is it just the 'cool' factor, or are you needing a reliable daily driver that is also lifted, jacked, etc? Do you have long commutes...

Help With Identity of Old WW2 Diesel Generator On Trailer.

For the points in the magneto, try to find a shop that works on magnetos or rebuilds alternators, etc. They should be able to get them.

Help With Identity of Old WW2 Diesel Generator On Trailer.

That looks almost just like the cat that is in the American crane at the South Carolina Railroad musuem. it is a D13000. Only difference is the injection pump is on the 'opposite' side. The pony engine had a 12v starter on it. Here's a vid of it running on 2-3 cylinders. Have you tried to...

    1954 M37 Engine Bay

The defrost ductwork is nice. Yes, like NDT said, she has been 12volted. Not hard to put back, just time consuming and $$$. If you get her for a decent price and the body doesn't need much work, it isn't a show stopper.

Preamble to yet another WC brought back to life

I bet some relative bearing grease will fix that starter rod binding. :tinkerbell:

    New Navy trailer!

The Navy doesn't put old fuel polishing equipment on nice new flatbeds. And sadly the USS Stump is sitting where they figured I could never recover her. But I've been buying ping pong balls by the truck load. They are wrong. BWHAHAHAHHAHAHAH Thanks for sharing pictures of the new trailers...

    This one's in sad shape!

That 101 looks a lot better than my old 101 that gets used for dang near everything. I've just about worn the NDT's bald on it, and they were 'new' when I picked it up. It was my first MV.

    M37 Brakes

In my opinion, for what you want to do, the M37 is a fine vehicle to do it. You can put a dual circuit MC on it without much hassle at all, there are several websites that show how its done with off the shelf components. All the brake lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, springs, etc can be...
