Sounds like a air leak to me. Try to pressurize the fuel tank to about 4-5psi.
If you have the vent that runs up the intake on the drivers side of the cab that is a good place to
tap in to do it.
My M923A1 had a problem when I got it of surging idle and it turned out to be an air leak in the fuel tank pickup tube.
I have seen other guys with the same problem and it has been an air leak in a fuel line or the fuel filter.
Here is the link...
Nice looking!!!
Here in the south most of us just go back with two batteries.
Up were you are in the winter you may need four.
I use group 27's and group 31's. I get them from Sam's.
Some of the A2's have the big fuel filter under the left finder and some do not.
I think there was a MWO to put the bigger filter back on the A2's. had a lot of
trouble with the little inline filter over in sand land.
If you just have the little inline just carry a spare and you should be...
I have not seen a scematic on SS. But I would just hook the two batteries up in series. then put the heater 12v tap in the center of the two batteries.
You need to check the voltage when you try to start it and see if they hold the voltage.
But I would say they are bad. You can use two group 31's or 27's and it will work just fine in the south.
I has seen this a number of times. They put schrader valves in the wheel valve stem, so you can not get air in or out of the tire.
You can go to the other side of the valves stem and try it there. The valve stem on the M939's have schrader valves on two sides.
