    Deuce window channel felt thickness?

Forced? Well, yes because I had no access to spare parts, used or new. And no, because for me this represents part of the hobby: recreate parts and eventually improve something... It's fairly common to find those channels all rotted- from the lower end, upwards, and hanging loose; at least in...

    37" hummer tire balancing

    I don't think 6.5" is correct. Not for a 12+inch-wide tire with about 9.5" tread width. G.

    Deuce window channel felt thickness?

Looks like I will have to dig a bit into my old files and notes... and post some more about it. Be patient! OK, here we go... picture #1 shows the end product, installed; #2 is a cross section of the actual door window frame inside the channel, fitted with carpet. The rest of pics give all...

5-ton TM's to be replaced... Ron, thanks for the heads-up. I just took the time to open all of them (or most all...) and found 6 out of 24, which didn't work. See them listed here... I have also uploaded/ attached the "replacements" which all came from the LIBERATED MANUALS-collection (thanks...

    Lock outs, locking themselves problem.

Guess you should read post#5 (again)... We are talking about the only one rear axle left after bobbing... (still) fitted with custom double-splined shafts. Yes, the OP could go back to the stock, flanged axle shafts, anytime. (That's what I would probably do... long before any other...

    Lock outs, locking themselves problem.

I would NOT weld anything to a shaft that certainly is alloy containing some carbon, not just mild steel! It is just too risky that the weld would crack and that bolt ended up in between two gears... I would investigate if there is something like a short cylinder - same diameter as the...

    Lock outs, locking themselves problem.

Ahh.. I see now, you had more than one problem there... First, the "auto-lock" issue which was probably solved somehow. But you also had this extreme shifting left to right, maybe over one inch!? I'm sure that those axle shafts would have worked OK with the stock differential parts and that -...

    Axle Identification Assistance

If we are talking about the front axle shafts, yes. The early 4-ball CV-joint shafts were true constant velocity shafts but not as strong as the cross U-joint style. G.
