It is your eyes..the deuces are down side up! and the 5 tons are upside down.. deuces rope over, 5tons winch rope under..work that one out. (hate the dreaded 'lol' but you get my drift)
A little more detail would be appreciated here, As I, for one have not a clue who the guy is, or, what he has purported to have 'done' for you..or others.
That sounds as the fuel pump needs some adjustments. Or worst case, changing. Can you check the timing? When running try spraying diesel into the intake..if it revs up..could be the pump delivery.
I like going to any show whatever is being presented. And yes, we do get some odd looks, but , again yes, the "children" (of all ages) just love climbing into and on the trucks. And taking pictures to record the event. I have to say, it's really nice when the children thank you, as do most adults.
Often Some of the best leads and "things seen at" can lead to fantastic opportunities to seek out. look over. and or purchase purchase something worth while. .
Rather odd the damage occurred with only four wheels, OK, there might be some wind up on a hard road, But the axles are massive units, designed for hard use winding ten wheels around. As mentioned previously, I would have asked to see on ongoing inspection. Then a costing for the then observed...
You simply can not beat a capillary temperature gauge. What you see is what you have. First modification on any truck I obtain. (that and an capillary oil pressure gauge).
I used exactly the same set up on my deuce a few years ago, to operate the brakes (on the deuce) when being towed by my wrecker, or the 5 ton. A useful source for air supply for inflation etc as well. (Red. Emergency line. And Yellow, service line).

Saturday, we had every truck readied for the War and Peace event in July. Just as I prepared to relax and have a beer, the lad reports "there is a leak on the inside rear wheel of the fire truck" I was already well tired, but spurred on (by the youth!) we removed the offending rear wheels and...
We used to do that all the time also in the motor pool. And it was certainly carried out by drivers in the 50's! (and on wards ) as I saw when I was in the cadets.
