This is exactly what I would do for the temporary fix. Cut it, Fit a tight (fit) good quality hose over both the ends, clamp them, and your good to go. As rusty said, do the proper fix when you have it home.
(fuming!) What in HECK are you possibly even thinking of here?: For crying out loud, SAFETY, and then safety, is the paramount consideration. NOT "can I drive with a bolt/screw in the tires"!??. Can I do this that or the other, ALL dangerous. Change your tires and tubes. or replace the wheels...
If you mean pictures, Yes absolutely fine, and very nice pictures as well. thank you for posting, and welcome to the site and hobby. You sure have a lovely addition to start up in the hobby.
Could be expensive, as you could have them 'metal sprayed' if there is an engineering firm near that would undertake the task. However, first check if the inner bore of the bearings have "spun" and worn, then just the shaft might clean up. When cleaned up they only need to be a good tight 'Push...
That looked fun, I like the singles, on your m34. We pulled a sled like that "out of the ring" much to the amazement of the crowd, in my M54A2 camper. Never did try the deuce though I think it would fare less as it runs on 1200x20. singled out.

Thanks for the comment, NO beerz! though as they are Cadets helping the group. Drives, Experience and learning, rewards enough. And what they really appreciate my 'helper' has "adopted" the M45 530C fire truck. Loves it..And knows how to use it and it's functions. (he should, he FIXED! most of...
That's the way we do them. And every 5 years the in tank pump filter screen is checked as well. They usually need a clean, and some have dropped the shims. Put them back and center pop the surround to stay them in.
Working through the trucks to service them etc. for upcoming events. Especially War and Peace Revival 2016. July. Well the 5 tons are ready, now it was the turn of the deuces. My two were worked through, oils changed, brakes adjusted. checks carried out. Belts etc. Then the turn of a friends...
Come Saturday, changed the engine oil, and added molyslip, greased all round, checked axles gear box and transfer case, and added molyslip. Checked the belts. tire pressures and spare. This IS major work for me..HA! but the lad 'kicks in' (bennym45) and completes the tasks with supervision. (and...
