Yes there is. It's the one that looks like it has a ball stuffed in the outside face if it's newer or if old style, has a very thin, 14mm/9/16 hex head in the end of it. Attached is an image of a new style overflow valve.
If it is an auto trans, there should be a switch in the converter lock up port. If that switch is failed, no power to any of the downstream parts. Start there by unplugging the switch and jumping it. The brakes will work without the truck driving. If it's a manual trans, check the clutch switch...
I haven't seen an air over water switch in forever. The last time I needed to replace one I had to convert it to electric over water. An advantage to doing this is that you can install a switch to turn on the fan when ever you want it to be on as well as coming on automaticially,
Having the priveledge to be associated with the Museum, I have been fortunate enough to have worked on and played with tracked vehicles and an M8. They are truly fun to drive and, for me, to work on, but, if they were something to own personally, not so much. The tracked vehicles be it a 548...
I stand corrected, the MW did/does have a bleed, I forgot about that. Gotta say, in 25+ years, never had to use it, the Bosch inline pumps are self bleeding, put your foot to the floor and crank it. I thought about the older overflow valves. They had a screwed in plug that was shimmed thet was...
Critical Parts List. That type of ordering has gone the way of the DoDo. An engine serial number is all that's needed. If your local parts place can't help you, PM me with the ESN and the parts you need.
No, you can't fix it if the shaft is spinning. Double check to make sure that the lever isn't loose on the shaft. If indeed the stop set screw has come out, the pump will need to come off and be set on a stand. There are holes on the throttle shaft that need to line up tihe ports in the pump...
You need to troubleshoot it before throwing parts at it. Could be that "bleeder" that someone referred to earlier in this thread...it'is NOT a bleeder, it is the cap that holds the spring on top of the ball in the check valve. That valve could be you issue as well as taking air. Put a clear line...
Just in case the place to be was missed...

See some of you there.

They rattle and bang a bit especially in the colder weather. If the fuel rate has been increased, it will tend to make more noise. A diesel won't "ping". There is no pre ignition on an oil fired compression engine, it is actually a pretty precise deal. Injection timing can be affected by a loose...
You are correct. If the engine in question is a Cummins, The compressor head/head gasket can put the compressed air pressure into the cooling system. Easy way to check it is to see if there is coolant in the discharge line of the compressor.
I'll just toss in my 2cents here. Don't re use the head that had the melted piston. The aluminum that melted and coated the cylinder head face is inside the exhaust port on the head and all over the valve seat and valve.
The reason the two push rods were bent is because the material that left...
