Can stickies be put at bottom of page?

I posted this in the site suggestions and improvements section because I thought it would make the site more usable and keep people from wearing out their scroll wheel. I did not realize it was the websters dictionary forum. I can understand having one or two stickies at the top of the page for...

Can stickies be put at bottom of page?

it would be nice if you did not have to scroll past all of the locked threads (the stickies) to get to the latest post. everytime the browser refreshes, you have to scroll down past a bunch of locked threads to get to the latest posts. it would make things easier. thank you

water circulation issue! NO HEAT NOW FROM HEATER/DEF.

Test your thermostat with a pot of boiling water so you can see if it is functional before wasting a trip to the store.

The "Road Oiler" gets overdrive (700R4 Swap)

Just in case any one is currious about the cost difference between the 700r4 and the 4l80e, my 4l80e cost was: free doner trans but would normally cost about $200 for two wheel drive like mine, to convert to 4 wheel I spent $45 on new ouput shaft and tail peice. a four wheel case would probably...

    M1009 battery setup question

the batteries are currently in serries to make them 24 volt, If you change them to a parallel circuit you will then only have 12 volts. If you have done the conversion and have no other devices that need 24 volt then yes, you can take both possative terminals and put them to the fire wall...

New M1009 owner checking in! Have a coolant leak question.

I took mine to three radiator shops and they all said it could not be repaired. unfortunately, I already scrapped it or I would send it your way to have it fixed for me. I am in texas and heat is not a big requirement so the little alluminum one works. If I were up north it would probably be...

New M1009 owner checking in! Have a coolant leak question.

Those heater cores on 73 to 87 chevy's are only the same if the vehicle did not have air conditioning. The necks for the water lines are not the same and they are not interchangeable. And no you cannot bend them to work without breaking them. I would not recomend wasting time in the junk...

New M1009 owner checking in! Have a coolant leak question.

Thats your heater core, it is common to go out at this age and after vihicle sat for long time. Almost all CUCV's have to have this replaced within a short time after putting them back into service. Unfortunately, the new heater core is a piece of crap but it does work

    h-pipe

If you are going to do any mods that create more than a couple of horses extra, Turbo or exhaust no matter what it is, you better plan on a stug girdle kit on the bottom end or you will find all of the bottom end on the ground. The crank and block design do not allow for too many more horses...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

I built a behind the dash panel to mount my addional electrical equipment, I moved the diagonistic plug to the far pasanger side and made places to tie wrap the glow plug controler card and other card (can't remember what other card is). I also installed my Dakota digital tach interface and I...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

10 X's better than origional seats, they actually have padding in them. Only one bolt hole lined up, I had to drill and install nuts and bolts for the other three on each seat. These seats have metal plates in the bottom of them for mounting so it was really easy to put them on the 1009 seat...

    Got Gen 1 Light!

are you sure you do not have a 12 volt truck, I looked at a cucv my PD had for sale but passed becasue it was a rust bucket and the electrical system was hacked up. drivers alt charges front and passenger alt charges back. front batt should be 12 volt and back should be 24.

    Column Noise

My guess would be to check your drag link if you have stock steering something down there may need some grease. small bumps make it move just enough to pop slightly and the sound is transfering up through your steering wheel. there should be nothing in the steering wheel or column that moves...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

I installed the front seats from the 87 suburban I parted out. Still need to shampoo/steam clean, We had a cold snap here in texas so I need to wait for it to warm up so they will dry with out mildewing .We have that problem here at the coast, things mildew overnight when left wet. The seats...

What front lift springs are you running?

i have the 4 inch hd,s also. they feel pretty good for the limited driving i have done. plows are pretty heavy. would be cool if you could get some airbags under the front to use when the plow is on. i think if you make the adjustments for the plow you wont like it when the plow is off.

My 1009 folding license plate bracket

I read up on just doing the numbers but from my understanding, the truck had to be stock military or real close to it in order to qualify for this. I was afraid my 1009 would not meet this requirement so I took the safe route and got plates. My 1009 will still look military however it is much...

My 4l80E install in my 1009, current progress

I mailed my non working 'TCI fast TCU controler' back to the company today to have them either fix it or give me a new one, they seemed to be decent folks on the phone, It will be at least a week before I have any info on what they are going to do to fix it. I also ordered my Magnum box from...

Holes in both front fenders...what were they for?

I always thought this is where the factory decals went, the molded thick metal ones (they were plastic in the later years). I could be wrong.
