seal is just a foam gasket. like weather stripping for the housing. the housing gasket will be re-used and the new core does not come with one. if you have the origional dont be shocked when you see the new one. they are a piece of crap but the do work (not as good). check the box of the new...
if your still 24v then you will have to conect it to one battery.
In the DC world. amps X hours = AMP/hr. 1 amp for on hour equals 1 amp/hr.
69 amps for 20 minutes is 23 amp hours.
check your battery rating and it should give you the total amp hours available. most are 90 to 100 amp hour...
5 mpg
if you calculated that the 1009 was only going to get 5 mpg. you may want to take the transfercase out of Low gear. (lol)

the depreciation from the new truck...
2 light system same, 4 light highs beam prob
I beleive there are only 2 harneses. 4 light and 2 light front end. if it had the 4 light front end, then the high beams may not work.
check the headlight plugs on the two light harnes to see if they are 3 wire. as long as you have 3 wire sockets...

I am not sure what is stock and if this was stock. appeared to be a nice burb at one time. I was assuming these were stock on the truck. all i could see were the rotors and drums and the pumpkins due to the mud and high grass. I do have an axle Identification chart that i got from the Internet...
Skinny, thats what I am trying to get is a Dana 60, not aware of a 10 bolt - 8 lug front axle. got 10 bolt 6 lugs now.
yes i can get rear 14 bolt ff in 4:10 here with 90 day warranty for $400 At another yard, but the yard that has the matching Dana 60 with and 14 bolt rear wants $1200 for D60...
Here are pics of rear. I used asphalt product in layers to fill grooves in bed since ruber floor is not fitted with grooves. with the padding on top and the rubber floor you cant feel the grooves in the bed.
I do not plan on getting this truck wet. yes if I do i can pull all of it out let dry...
I went crazy with LMC products. stripped truck and painted with Gillespie Forest green, base paint for woodland camo. painted entire truck in and out.
used the firewall insulation plus the asphalt base silencer then the Jute padded mylar padding. on top of that i put the rubber floor mat.
In the...

I found a 88 or 89 suburban 4X4, has 700r4 tranny and still has both axles, engine is gone.
i dont want tranny but want want axles for my 1009 any one know what gears would be in these and what would be a fair price.

33x12.5x15
twlinks,
33x12.5x15 is the largest you can put on a stock m1009 that i know of, that is what is on mine (see avatar) I have mine painted now and plan to give picks of my rebuild soon. they look without lift get small with lift, i have mud kings now that are like new but i think are...
i want sharecroppers wheels on my 1009
not to highjack a thread but i am building my 1009 now and really like your settup, do you think it would work under an 09 with the shorter wheelbase, and how do those tires run on the highway?
the seats and roll bar are definately a recent redneck addition. however the bumpers, frame supports with post and fender extension look to be as old as the jeep.
my buddy has a willys we believe is a 46 cj2a with some type of winch truck type frame post with pin holes which we think was for a cage it has a nasty front bumper with extended fenders on the front and a pto winch. we just pulled all the drums (a real PITA) on stud had to be drilled, threaded...
