    Arctic Fuel Burning Heater Install

If it starts, the it must be hot enough for the "transfer" switch to operate. If it stalls out after that, then there is a fuel delivery problem IMHO, like in the fuel control valve. Open the bleed valve on it and if there is fuel flowing, then you'll need to check calibration of the valve...

    Leak at oil cooler

It may be the oil cooler bypass valve.

    Sidewall Splits 15.5 80 R20

Interesting...wonder if there is any "scientific" basis for the stretch method. :-)

    Wheel hop reduction?

This may or may not be related, but bias ply tires develop flat spots when the truck is parked for some time, often for as short a period as overnight if it's cold out. Drive until the tires warm up and it should go away. Of course, tire pressure is by the book etc, right?

    Need Heater Blower Assy

Thanks! Looks like something I could work with. As a matter of fact, I can use one in any condition working or not, I have spare parts.

    Need to ID This cable

Seems a little short for the tractor-semitrailer cable, mine is about 10 ft long... The "hot" contacts in any assembly should be female, so this cable should have one male and one female connector. The NSN for mine is 2590-00-815-5925 (took a while to dig up).

    Need Heater Blower Assy

The blower, used for the defogging system on the m656/xm757 series seems unique like so many other parts on these trucks and I need help finding a good sub. The part number is 11613697 and it's smaller than the unit found on the deuce heater, it's about 6 to 7 inches O.D. Is the M151 blower the...

    Exaust Brake

:-D Brings up memories from my Rocky mountain driving, it's definitely a relief to have a backup braking system and not having to rely 100% on the service brakes on those long downhill runs...btw, the sound from the exhaust brake is an intensive hiss, nothing like the Jake brake. The exhaust...

    M656, XM 757 or XM791 help needed.

Good question Stuart, I have not found it either, but then I only stripped paint off the driver's side frame in the area below the steering cylinder. I was only curious at the time, so didn't pursue it. Another xm757 owner asked me that question...

    tatra 813 new owner

Okay, may be worthwhile to install a draincock, which is easy to operate routinely. What about the air tanks, same deal on them?

    What is a "restoration"?

Question is, how does your insurance company define "restored" when the vehicle is insured as such.

My BIG M925A2 Project Truck Is Home

Chris, I'm getting dangerously close to take the 757 for some good road testing, but want all the little things working right, like the torque rods, for example. Got an insurance quote from Gulfway for $250 and registration will be as an antique vehicle so that's only $50. So, a side by side...

Coolant Filter Installation - Which way to plumb

Thanks for your confidence SrJeeper, however, I may have been guilty of posting an image, showing the wrong connections in my haste to explain the install some years ago. Anyway, the flow of coolant thru the engine is shown in the image below and you have it correct Frank, from the...

    Deuce electrical system help needed

Remember that all your ground returns to the batteries rely on the sheetmetal-to-sheetmetal bonds and ground straps, so check those first and reference your measurements to the NEG terminal of the (supposedly) grounded battery. Yes, it may mean one really long wire for your DVM or VOM.
