Dabtl, follow Keith's advise....I have used the Chargetek 500 "battery maintainer" for years and it works great (lost one in a thunder storm/lightning strike once, but that's another story), made for dual 12-volt battery systems.
The optical battery tester may be found on ebay for about a 1/3 of...
Can't find any details on those numbers gimp, perhaps it's a kit...the part number on the filter element should be 053754-01.
The #3511 is rated 10 micron and is not a suitable element for the primary filter/water separator.
Brock, if you want speed, get one of these, turn the handle and you're...
Checked with "Swedin Sales" (Utah) about those tires, but he knew nothing about them, wasn't that the lead you gave me?
The transmission is the TX200-6, like so many other items, specifically designed for this truck with a built-in hydraulic driveline retarder (not hooked up in the delivered...
Any driveline brake, jake, hydraulic , exhaust brake, pinion or electric will have the same problem on slippery surfaces. Use with regular "service" brakes and with caution.

Will, about your request...
Thanks Mark, I have come to the conclusion that electric heating is easier to control and will not rob heat from the engine at a critical time, eliminating valves and cumbersome plumbing and without risking a coolant leak into the fuel, so assumed that they had advanced somewhat....
Appreciate...
Excellent suggestion Leonard, I believe in purposely venting spaces, enclosures too, for that matter.
Most of my can brackets show rust damage on the bottom.
The golden rule here is to "don't turn anything" when the hydraulic head is removed. When back in, the engine should run like before.
Never had to bleed the lines to the injectors and never use a starting aid without cranking the engine at the same time (takes two people or the ether injection...
Glad you did Mike, I was wondering about that also.
Haven't worked much on the 8x8 lately, started to remove the torque rods, but had trouble getting the tapered pins out. The torque rods have "lubed for life" ball and socket joints (one for each of the 12 rods) and are now stiff enough to keep...
98hd, about your controller, it's for the older gasoline fired units. You are better off locating the correct box with indicator light and connector (in the rear).
There is some demand for the 978 control box, so hang on to it.
