Very cool PB! Take a video, i'd love to hear it run. That is the best thing to me, taking a piece of history that has been neglected for a bit and bringing it back to life to see, smell feel and hear the beast. Good job CAMO!
Did you know to replace a starter in an M60 that beast needs to come out :shock: We have an M60 at the Museum that ahs a fubar starter, me thinks it is gonna come out this summer :cool:
Not much experience on mil gen sets, but I have a bit in Onan junk. First see if the RPM is correct. A 4 pole end should run at 1800 RPM and a 2 pole at 3600.
That's because the trans is in lock up. Just like if it had a manual trans and you locked the wheels w/o depressing the clutch. Changing shift points or adding/removing a gear requires the Allison program and a calibration of the TCU.

I can do 1/4, 1/2 and 1 inch on machines and 2-3 inch by hand.
Remember to start looking high for the leak. They all end up at the rear of the pan. It would suck to pull the trans/t-case only to find it was a valve cover aua
No, you don't need to pull the engine, just the t-case and trans. The t-case is heavy.
