You may want to double check me, but I think the panel is the same on the MEP-002a as on the MEP-003a, so that might expand your search, if the local GL auction list ratio is anything to go by there seem to be 5-10 MEP-002a's for every MEP-003a.

I bought a 25 foot suction hose and inlet strainer for it at Tractor Supply on the way home tonight, cost about $40 for both and the hose is even green, it was marked as 1 1/2 NPT and seems to screw onto the inlet port fine. For the outlet I am getting a used 1.5 inch NST firehose with nozzle...
It was lot 7623, it looks like one of the three fuel pumps may be missing and the others are either loose or the mounting bracket is loose/bent. Even if nothing else is wrong with it these fuel pumps tend to sell in the $50-$ 75 range for working used, and new are well over $100. This one had...
First off hello neighbor (I live in DeRidder, work near Leesville), with all these new people from this part of state getting MEP generators the last few weeks you would think they were giving them out in cracker jack boxes. We have had a guy from DeQuincy and a couple of them from the...
Well I bought a new toy from GL in the auctions that closed Tuesday, it is a 65 GPM fresh water pump in an ASK housing (measures about 2x2x3, so about the size of a MEP-701a, maybe a little smaller) powered by a 4HP Yanmar L40 diesel engine (NSN 4320-01-338-8010 built by Schleyer Pump) . I was...
It sounds to me like someone wired the switch wrong, you may want to check the TM for connection numbering and compare to the switch. I know on the the MEP-002a there were at least 2 different version of the switch installed with different wiring connections on each (2 are covered in the TM...
Somewhere in the back of my head I seem to recall the suggested starting position for the knurled knob being 1.5 turns out from fully screwed in, this may be wrong. One other thought, I assume this version of the Stanadyne pump has 2 levers on the outside (one on each side), one is the speed...
There is a flyweight type governor inside the injection pump, your photo looked like there was rust on the fuel cut off shaft from when you had the injection pump top removed, if so the weights on the governor may also have rust on them causing them to stick. Also the knurled knob on the...
Libby Welding was just the contractor (wholy owned subsidiary of Onan set up to build generators for the military) for that production lot, there were 3 or 4 different ones that had the contract over the years including Onan, Hollingsworth, etc, but they all used the same parts (some parts may...
Derf is that $150 with shipping? Just wondering because my last one was only around $100 filled and charged, of course we do have a business charge account there and I am in there about once per month it seems like as they are within walking distance of my house, if you call a mile and a half...
Chances are it is a MEP-016c gasoline generator that was converted to a MEP-016d by replacing the gasoline engine with a 1 cylinder Diesel, often times the data plates were not changed. I just bought a couple of them last month from GL with the listing the other way around, listed as gasoline...
Well that is a complicated one. It will put out 240V single phase, what it may not put out is 120/240V split single phase (common household power), I say may not as it has been noted by multiple people that both the wiring diagram in the manual and the one inside the top cover have mistakes...
The thing I don't understand about people that backfeed is why don't they just go to Wal-Mart and buy half a dozen 50 ft outdoor extension cords and a few 3 way splitters, from a cost standpoint it is likely the cheaper option than buying a $30 dryer plug plus enough heavy SO cord to reach their...
