    The brakes and suspension are about the only difference. Aside from the few models using the 205 transfer case, the 208s should exchange with the transmissions being identical. Be careful on civy parts, these are all J code diesels without EGR. CDR valves for example.

    The condenser is a capacitor, it functions as a voltage spike absorber, the very high resistance you were seeing might mean it is defective but 1.5 megaohms is nothing in a 12 or 24 volt system. It needs to be connected to properly function, otherwise voltage will not be stable.

    Don't use waste vegetable oil. It corrodes the system. Viton can be attacked by acidic waste vegetable oil. If you have a source of WVO, convert it to biodiesel.
