Grounds are the biggest issues on these pigs. Start at the light mount and check all the grounds to the chassis first. Could be just the ground, could be a trun sig. lever, could be the flasher unit. Does the RH side work OK, is it just the front or rear?
I had to do that to mine too. Opcom, take the outer handle off and you can put the cam back where it needs to be by not putting the drive all the way into the latch, then do the above linked repair.
Never dealt with an A3, but if is like any other truck, the P/U is in the flywheel housing. Look for a long threaded deal with two or four wires coming out the top. It will be off center from the top or the bottom of the housing. Try adjusting it first. With the engine OFF, loosen the jamb nut...

It could be that they need adjustment. These aren't like car or truck brakes, they do not self adjust. Go to the resources section and download the TMs that pertain to the brakes. You should pull the wheels and drums and do a complete service/check just for your own piece of mind.
Agreed, Pull the pump and look at the hose. If it sat it can be hard and cracked. Another thing, check the copper line that crosses over from the primary filter under the alternator, across the bottom of the front x-member. It could be squished flat and what you see as air could be just a giant...
