And on the airbase where I worked thwere was an old M45 (deuce chassis fire truck) we used to admire, it was never used though and was eventually seconded to the Royal Army service Corps and then later "sold off" in in an ex M.O.D. sale. Guesss what though?...Yep! I bought it and now own it...
I sure wish I had one of those (p4s)..there is a P15 over here been sat a long while...with fuel costs (£7+ a gallon!) and road width restrictions it would be difficult to use now..I nearly bought it though and still think about it..(somewhat wistfully( as I used to drive maintain and service...
????? Laugh I would NOT have..I would have been to concerned for (any) other road users young and old (or en mass) just about to be taken out by an uncomprehending and dangerouse F*****//****T!!..SO GLAD ( and relieved ) for the population at large, that he made it thus far without incident.
(you can(when you arrive home)) Undo the 6 bolts on the Axle Flange. and remove the Half shaft. Then you could see the bearings and grease status, but reoving the wheel this way would be very difficult and unwieldy without a wheel support tool. A small point , removing the tire is Not the same...
The boat is rare as the famouse builders of it no longer exist. there is a fully restored one in existance. clinker built and it has an enginein it and as it has been removed from our storage place (rent arrears) it is for sale, I believe it wants re-"caulking"? I will find more info toady.
this is the imperial system of measurement (as) .125=1/8 125 thou'...the challenge was to get a lift clear of the floor for the cradle and also miss the door jam on the way out..it was very close..it was difficult getting "steering way" with boom out so far...however mssion was accomplished and...
So in the barn where we store military "things" we have one guy who wont pay rent..owes 6 months! everyone frets as to what to to...(and) just HOW do we get that friggin boat out out? We WILL (could) shift it sais the I (and my lad)..but but but goes the chorus..Well a quote of £1200 (from a...
You need to VERY carefull and aware of just how fortunate you (may) have allready been. "screeching" (and or grinding) from a front wheel and pulling to the side could indicate a (very) out of adjustment front wheel bearing set, OR an allready Colapsed Bearing......which will often lead to total...
Freind had this happen!
Take care to inspect/service front wheel bearing on a regular basis.
Picture shows a siezed and subequent collapsed front wheel bearing.
OK. so here's how I cured the problem. Cleaned the power steering regulater valve. Then removed all pipes to the compressor system and cleaned taped and re-fitted them. Removed and serviced the compressor regulator. Also the air intake to the compressor. Found and cured a mirad of small air...
Yes it allways builds up to 65 psi. and holds steady. We have been screwing the smaller of the nuts IN , (unlocked the Large 1 1/16 nut and screwd in the smaller one.)and no change. is this not the correct way to Increase the output pressure?. Thanks for responding. <I been thro' all the tms I...
Anyone have a tip for trouble shooting and or adjusting low air pressure? the valve on the bulkhead when adjusted (screwed in) makes no difference, and the maximum pressure reads 65 P.S.I. The air power steering works fine , but uses air up too quickly now. additionaly we note that it takes...
Some of my vehicles use a fitting drilled sump for fitting at the rear of the sump. . ( removed sump) from there to the pump (ex fork truck lift pump) then up to the gallery plug BETWEEN and slightly under the oil filters. pressure switch not affected.
My other trucks use the Oil Drain plug...
Interesting to note the comments about power..well we put a turbo onto our fire truck (M45) and Lo..Much more power..sails up hills now even fully loaded with 12 tons of water! and it has never, been driven with the throttle to the floor or even near! (and the exaust ( with a muffler used to...
You should adjust the mechanism to give 2" of free play. However when the play is all "at the top" of the pedel release, it usually indicates time for a clutch plate re-replacement. (cluth and perhaps pressure plate)
After this one!..tomorrow (suday) we are going to view a (spotted) M715..it looked liked it could use a good (new) home..as it happens I have one, (albeit somewhat crowded)..so I will post pictures and hopefully report I own it after the viewing.. Pictrures below..and surley worth saving?
