OK, here are some pics of the finished project. I had a camera issue, but a couple of guys have some pics they'll send me with the engine stuff and some in between things. There was a total of 250 = or - hours in the project.
Hey, that's cool! The whole panel comes off. I use regular ol grease from the tube. Wonder why they didn't make the seuce and other M series vehicles. It's a PITA to work blind.
Also, check the wheel bearings, you could have a loose one, and if the steering gear has a bunch of slop in it, that can add to the problem. Try bumping the tire pressure up a bit. Do 1 thing at a time so you know what fixes it.
Oh yeah, make sure the tie rod ends and the drag link sockets and...
How long will the extension be? If the engine vibrates alot, and the extension is long, you could develop a crack at the engine side pipe threads. The added length will amplify the vibration and fail the pipe. If you used a flexible tube, that would be much better, secure the end of the...

You can use any grease for ball joints/tie rods. It will be OK.
My favorite flavor is Valvoline.

Figure out the tank area in inches, then multiply by the pressure in the tank and that's how much force is in the tank, not just the 90 to 110 registering on the gauge.
If it works properly, don't mess with it! You will always make a larger headache for yourself and it will take 4 times as long as it should to fix the f-up you just made. ;-)
I had a 3/4. It worked OK on the lugs. I rebuilt the axle on one of the 105's completely with it. It does suck the juice out of the batteries with heavy use. I ran the throttle up to 1200 RPM to use it in long stretches. I just sold it on e-bay because I have air on board and the air seemed to...
Adiabatic? Never heard of that type of program. Adiabatic is associated with the thermal losses in the current DOC/DPF exhaust systems that HD engines are using now. As in NOT losing the heat generated by the engine exhaust to aid in the processes of the reactive exhaust components.
Well, I can tell you that that house is NOT in Arcadia! Wish it was though, then I wouldn't need to move when I retire. Hey, where are all the lowered Hondas with the big 'ol exhaust? WOW a real close SS member. If you need help, gimmie a PM. I've been told i'm handy with tools and such
Bottom line, by 2012, no diesels older than 2007 technology for COMMERCIAL use in Ca. That includes an out of state truck crossing the border. By 2012, there will be a bucket load of 2007 and newer trucks in the used market...kinda no different than now. It will just force the old mechanical...
