A copy of the schematic is in the TM. I blew it up and printed it on 11 X 17 so that I stood a chance of reading it. I've attached a copy of the pdf file for the schematic. However, driving your A3 to town shouldn't run your batteries down unless your batteries are in poor condition, or your...
Diesel fuel is much more stable than gasoline. If your fuel is only a year old, I wouldn't drain it. You can always add some fuel additive as well. I routinely start my MEP003A once per month and keep a trickle charger on it. I also purchased some NOS 24V glow plugs on E-bay real cheap, but...
The winter storm that is coming through North Georgia has hit us hard. We're in NE Georgia in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We had a lot of snow and ice and lost power at 1:00 AM last night. I fired up my MEP003A and it has been running ever since, now at 15 hours straight, running the whole...
Cab reinforcement plates are not that hard to come by. NOS ones are on Ebay occasionally and sometimes custom made ones. I have an extra NOS one I picked up for $50.00 a few years back, but plan to hang onto it.
I'm getting ready to clean up and check out my M35A2 for the trip to the rally. My M35A3, which I usually take to the rally, is still out of commission due to a fire in the engine compartment. I finally got the money from State Farm to pay for the repairs and have accumulated most of the...
Robert, I'm sorry you won't be coming this year. A friend of mine, who escaped from the former Czechoslovakia in the 1980s while on holiday with his mother in Austria, is likely to be attending this year with me. We'll miss you and Olga. :(
You are likely to get new tires out of the incident, and I hope you do. I would recommend having C&C replace the grommets behind the valve stems when they have the tires dismounted. Those grommets relax with age, and dry-rot. The nuts should be torqued to 45 - 60 Ft-Lb. If the brass nuts are...
It looks like Zout almost has it done! I can't wait to see it run.
My wife always gets upset when I run parts through the dishwasher. Works great as long as none are aluminum. She gets even more upset when I run black powder revolver parts through the dishwasher. Stinks up the whole house.
Thanks. That's where I thought it was located, but when I couldn't look at my truck I thought I'd make certain. I had a fire which burned up the front wiring harness and I wanted to make sure I didn't need a rear wiring harness as well.
Does anyone know the location where the rear wiring harness on an M35A3 plugs into the front wiring harness? I can't look at my truck right now and I can't find it in the TMs.
I would think the trucking company would be liable for the tire damage. I would take photos of all of the tires showing the damage while the truck is still loaded and file a claim. you could also try to take them to small claims court. If the tires are damaged, you don't want to try and use them.
I had exactly the same problem - verbatim. I replaced the transistor on the VR board and it fixed my problem. I suspected the pot as well, but it turned out to be the transistor. I can't take credit since Speddmon is the one that pointed me in the right direction. The key is never idle the...
When the wheel halves are separated, I use a wire brush wheel on a drill motor and clean both halves. I then paint the o-ring sealing surfaces on both halves with Rustoleum high gloss black paint. I wait a week to put back together to make sure the paint is fully cured. I install the O-rings...
Put good tires on the truck. Then, turn off the CTIS and run 60 PSI in the tires. The truck will handle much better and the tires will last longer. The Michelin wheels are red-lined at 60 PSI. I found an NOS Haldex air dryer on Ebay for a reasonable price. You can also rebuild them with a...
Well, I found NOS shoes on Ebay and I just received them today. They were new in the box and have the correct P/N 7064978 on both the boxes and shoes. However, the shoes that came off my XM1061E1 have 3/8 inch thick lining and the new shoes only have 1/4 inch thick lining. Otherwise they are...
