Well, that tells me you have not downloaded the TM's. Red is for the 005A.

Do you want to make this thread go away? If so, tell me to nuke it and it will happen. The reason you could not PM me is that you still have to few posts in the forum to use the PM function. If you want me to ring you, tell me and I will do that too.
If you want help, start a thread. Did you maybe read the TM about testing GFI? And yes, you can test one without running the generator. Remove the input wires and connect them to a wall plug. Then push the test button. Or stick a wire in the "N" side of the output plug, and the other end to the...
You could not give me a MEP-404B. At least the D424A was cast iron. If the thing came apart, it all stays inside. I loved that engine! What a great toy, But parts and cost. The engine was 255 thousand bucks a pop. A "service" would cost you about 30 thousand bucks. If not more.
Very...
As long as the IP's are in the rail, you can start the set. Is this the same set you started a thread about not knowing if the IP was put together right? What "shop manuals" do you have? Do you also have the TM's?
Peter is on the right track here. Also remember, there are still some sets that had the OLD,OLD GFI in them. It had an inline fuse hooked to it. Also remember, that there is a reset button on the back. If its popped, then nothing will happen when you push the magic button.

As far as I remember, there have been at least 3-4 Generators. The D424-A being the one I know best. Way out of your price range. Parts cost would knock you on your keester. And its 400 hertz. Very bad reliability. Patriot System.
The GTGE 70 C1 is so old, I find it hard to believe you could...
Never, ever, not even a little bit, use the S-10 dead crank switch, if you think you have a internal problem. You can only make it worse. If it binds by hand, the starter has a bunch more "UMH" behind it then your arm. Bad things can happen.
I may be wrong, but the TM's you want are in thew TM download section.

There is a data plate in your truck that lists the operators TM. That series TM, has everything you want. It should all be there.
I read the OT every morning. And yes they do have Obit's. Go to the Wed. paper, look at page two. The article about the two stupid people in Coburg who called the cops because their Coke was no good.
