    Multifuel exhaust

Yeah, feeding the exhaust oil and fumes from the crankcase can't be good, okay for swimming, but that only applies to the M656 cargo version anyway. Haven't gotten around to work on that particular detail. On the deuce, I filter it and feed it back into the air intake.... These vehicles were...

There are lots of images of my project posted, here are some samples from a search: http://steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=16447&highlight=xm757 http://steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=15469&highlight=xm757...

    Canvas for the xm757

Thanks Bruce for the suggestion, there are some floating around, I missed one at Joe Naglich by about a year and they are apparently still good made of vinyl and all. Meanwhile, I'll make my canvas substitute look good. :-)

    Canvas for the xm757

Since the original vinyl top is almost impossible to find, I'll have a canvas "bikini style" top until I find one. Started working on it a few days ago.... There will be a second piece covering the equipment behind the seats.

    Multifuel exhaust

Thanks for your insights! They kind of agree with my own experiences. There is one (big?) factor with the 757 engine that may play a role here and that's the feeding of the blowby into the exhaust. This is done to make it possible to run the engine under water without preps. I plan to make some...

    Multifuel exhaust

What is the process here, the visible exhaust is a lot worse from the multifuel when the engine is not driven a lot. Currently, my deuce even idles without any visible exhaust (it has been driven long and hard), while the 757 smokes like the dickens. It has not yet been on the road and seems to...

    Last year for the muitlfuel??

I think it would be interesting to know when the different manufactures dropped out, or did they all keep going to the very end?

    Advantages of 24v

Higher voltage means less current and less copper, I think the trend still is to go to a higher voltage in our cars and trucks, maybe even 36 or 42 volts....

    Horn button question

This item, 2530-01-136-1098, was sold on ebay a few weeks ago, I saved the picture, which I believe is of the item in question, can someone tell me more about it, is it an upgrade to the original switch assy, is it waterproof and is it a drop-in replacement? I think Saturn also sells them. Thanks,

    Dumb Question Of The Year

Re: RE: Dumb Question Of The Year Both the deuce and the 757 have a tapping sound at idle, the deuce is more pronounced and may be amplified by a rod bearing problem (also causing a low oil pressure reading). The tapping noises go away at higher rpm in both engines. Don't know about a ticking...

amps needed to start a deuce

Mike is correct, the approx amperage needed is 350 amps, which gets you an engine rpm of about 200. It will be more in the Winter time unless the engine is warmed up first. The 6TLs have a CCA of 750 amps, which is plenty.

Loose wire in engine compartment (27B)

Wire "27B" should tie in with the 27 and 27A wires, possible separated with a circuit breaker. In one diagram (M939 series), the 27B goes to a diagnostic connector.

    Mil. Spec. Cannon plugs

The "MS" type connectors used on our trucks and radio equipment are modular, that is to say, they can be taken apart and assembled with different inserts and clamps etc. There are suppliers of these separate parts, so if you have the shell, you don't have to spend a small fortune just to get the...
