I have made a small downpayment on this 8x8 truck bed at IMP in Idaho and need to check on transportation costs to get it home before completing the deal. Has anybody any experience with uship.com? Alex would like it moved by June....

Use all your lights including 4-way flashers when driving in rain and fog on the interstates, at least (Peter) Opie got a way to go on I-81...bring a spare flasher unit if you got one.
Mike, you have done the obvious, right, checked fuel filters and bled the lines/filters?
Once started, the batteries are pretty much out of the picture.

If you want your cab heated before you drive it, consider a fuel burning heater, the only way to go IMHO. The "hot water heater" doesn't get up to speed...

When it comes to micron ratings of filters, you have to consider things like pressure drop (higher for finer filters) and also more frequent filter changes for 5 or 10 micron filters than the original 20-25 micron ones.

He has no crane that uses wire rope, so he wants the snatch block for the 5-ton front winch (just to make it more useful). The snatch blocks for the deuce winch have come in handy more than once and it's time to prep the 8x8 winch...
Be aware that the diagram above contains a number of errors, there is a separte thread listing them...

Past posted images will show reference to hundreds of TM's and PS mags, 99% paper. I do like to keep TMs from the time period of the equipment,though, so for the deuce, many are from the sixties.
Not very fond of pdf files, but they do come in handy for detail references when it's too...
