Make sure you climb under the truck and check for damages. They don't seem to believe in having someone steer while they're pushing a truck. They'd rather pick one end up with the forklift and steer it that way. So lots of vent driveshafts and pinched lines for us to fix.
My truck was driven...
I would like to come out but I have so much going on this weekend I doubt I'll make it. Is this something you do often? I remember seeing events in eldersburg before.
Andy was a big help. I hope picking up his truck goes better!
I use to work for a tow company that was partnered with Teds towing and they had a truck not far from me so they gave me a good price. Was $ 325, didn't have to pull shafts or hook up air.
I'd recommend Teds to anyone in the...
That 60 ton wrecker had no problem at all with my 15 ton rig. Military trucks are easy to tow.
I pulled the pan and took it to a welder buddy, I didn't feel comfortable welding it myself. Oil soaked metal is not fun. Still looking for a spare pan and a new drive shaft.
We had intentions of pulling the drive shaft but I got side tracked and forgot. It was 20° and everything was frozen.
They beat the crap out of that truck with the fork lift between the time the pictures were taken and when I picked it up. They bent the ladder storage brackets on the bottom of...
I was stopped, waiting to turn left into my driveway. I was just over the white line on the right and the van must have been right on the double yellow. If he had hit me square on, I think he may have not walked away. He hit so hard that the back of his van came off the ground and clipped a...
Thanks, I'm glad I was in the deuce. The van is fubar, can't even tell what it was. I'm guessing he was doing about 50 mph. He got out and yells "what did I hit"
Was deemed totally his fault. No injury other than cuts and bruises.
He was lucky he didn't have any passengers, the engine was pushed...
Was turning left and got rear ended by a 3500 Conversion van. Anybody need any parts? 11.00-20"s? winch? Engine? Got any good ideas for this thing? I don't want to scrap the good parts but can't keep it too long either.
I have a set of 24 bolt wheels and need to replace the o-rings and a few studs.
I can find the parts for the old 8 bolt and 12 bolt wheels but not the 24.
Maybe they're the same but I didn't think so.
So I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with these or has the updated TM or parts...
The zinc coated bolt comment was just your fun fact for the day.
Where did you find the 2024T361 spec? I read a Mil issued work order for the M44 series shear pin that said 2017. Maybe you found something newer than what I did. From the testing that was done I initially thought they were 2024...
Stretch is right, this is the thread for shear pin related questions. Sorry for blasting down your question. This site is great for asking questions and the people here are helpful. I meant to be helpful and push the ''aluminium only''. Didn't mean to step on toes.
The type of brass used in the...
