    Deuce driver seat questions

No, they are not the same. I got new vinyl covers from Idaho Motor pool, for the box seat, and went to a local auto upholstery shop and got some dense foam that they use for seats, My butt likes it! Do you have the wood base for the box seat? If not, I could snap a pic and give you the...

questions about 5 tons. 24 to 12 volt

Transit busses use 2, 8D batteries in series and pull 12VDC off of one and only have one 24VDC alternator. The one battery used for the 12VDC items...radios, start circuit...not the starter, but the system that engages the 24VDC start system, (technoblimps), faire boxes etc, are constantly dead...

    Fading SN on frame.

Or, you could leave the original alone and re stamp it below the original. I wouldn't mess with the original one, that could cause BIG issues.

    So Cal fall desert trip

I was gonna hit this topic after vacation! Stoddard again? Lots of space, no closures, close..sort of to a refreshment stand..Slash X. Kinda centrally located for most, close for parts...not that we have needed any in the past, but who knows? I think we can shoot across Hodge road, I will find...

    NHC-250 in a M939 vs a M809 truck

The internals are gonna be the same. There might be a disc in the block loop of the cooling system so that when the stat is closed, the trans gets positive coolant flow. The coolers are the same. Intakes are the same, the exh is different. 809 exits straight down, the 939 sweeps toward the rear...

    oil leak rear main.

There will be rebuild stickers or tags on the engine if it has beed overhauled. I guess it would just depend on how bad the leak was as to how long it would need to run for it to show up. If the truck has been in use, there should be evidence of the leaks. if the truck has been sitting, it is...

    Looking for Barstow contact

I'd suggest calling ahead. Sometimes the GL people at Barstow can be difficult to deal with. If your EUC isn't cleared, the truck isn't really yours yet. But, you could just say that you are going to bid and want to preview trucks. I'd still call ahead. Remember to download and read the manuals...

    M818 Cummins lift pump?

I don't do it anymore, but, I know a guy that still does them. The only issue is that there is 3 or 4 different pumps used on the 855's in the 5t trucks. The cost SHOULD be between $200. and be up to around $650., exchange. Just depends on what is wrong with your pump. Like if there is an issue...
