    disk brake conversions parts

The size and weight of the drum is an indication of its ability to dissipate heat, I think the deuce drums can handle about 12 KW ea.... If you are concerned about water and mud, drill holes in the drum along the pad contact area to help get rid of it, thought about doing that on my deuce and...

    Input requested

The only picture I have seen is this one, from the 8x8 TM. The indicator light serves an important function, it tells you that the heater is running and you should not shut down the power to it manually, it must be done by the automatic purge cycle and the light tells you when you can safely...

    Input requested

No, not really, a little on the upper end perhaps, but they seem to be hard to find as stated. You will also need the fuel pump, control box and possible a separate circulation pump. Furthermore, the exhaust may be used for heating the oil pan (most important IMHO), so the exhaust pipe/oil pan...

    Fuel line safety check!!!

Good point Mark, I keep parts for a replacement with me on my trips, was concerned about the effect of biodiesel/veggie oil, but no problems yet. It's a 3/8 fuel line with standard fittings, easy to make up a spare.....Inverted flare on one end and "regular" (SAE 45°) flare with a swivel on...

Can you provide some specific examples of this, please. I believe parts for the S&S FMTVs are built in Europe, so that's no big secret.. IMHO, it would be very difficult to build a truck that excells in all areas, just size will accomplish a lot, but it will have shortcomings in other areas...

    Blackout light PLUG

Of course, you can. If there is no other wire coming out of the unit, then the case must be grounded via the mounting bolt.

Here are images to refer to, the driving light and the, presumibly, missing connector. Hope it clears things up.

The A-frame kit (hoist) for M35-let's talk about it

    Hmmm...maybe I can find a buyer for mine. :-)

    Electric winch

A hydraulic system adds flexibility. One PTO can deliver power to a crane, winch, snow plow, wood splitter etc, regardless of where they are located.

    B5 how much lube?

Biodiesel contains oxygen and will improve combustion some. With the ULSD, I use at least 10% biodiesel or veggie oil.

The A-frame kit (hoist) for M35-let's talk about it

I do believe that there is a PS mag blurp on this detail. Has anyone considered the use of the "heavy" tow bar set for the A-frame, they are 4 inches in dia and 8 feet long? Guess it would take a crane to handle the parts, though....

    Electric winch

The charging system would not be damaged, but you would be limited to the capacity of the batterie(s). Remember, the starter motor draws 200-400 amps routinely.

    Re-Powering The Deuce With A 5-Ton LDS-465-1A Engine

No, but enough will take the bypass route to keep the pressure differential at 15 psi.

    Re-Powering The Deuce With A 5-Ton LDS-465-1A Engine

Ernie, with a bypass filter, you don't need a fine micron full flow oil filter, the stock 20-25 micron is just fine and wil produce a faster "time to oil pressure". As a matter of fact, the differential pressure across the stock filters may have been less than 6 psi, I have to check my records...

    tires

Yep, you know me Ken, pictures of everything. :-) While Jason was mounting the tires, I siped them, took about 15 minutes per tire. This was in Arkansas, the images below from this morning, 5,000 miles later. The original depth of the cut was 3/16 of an inch. The closeup shows the typical...
