Reminds me of driving a High back in WI in winter with a load of M2s in the back. The flap between the cab and cargo wasn't secured and was blowing cold air down my back the entire multi-hour trip. all I had was my fleece and normal BDUs.
dirty electrical can give these (and most other) trucks some nasty fits. Keep on the Maintenance. Be sure you guys are performing PMCS properly. Especially with the cold weather coming in. (esp presuming you're at Woodstock, WI)

OP, honestly, sounds like you might be pushing the weight limits of the LMTV. If you can get an FMTV instead, one of the dual rear axles, it seems like it might be a better solution. Of course what would REALLY be ideal in your situation is a HEMMT Fuel Truck, clean it out and use it...

They changed the demil code on some of that fleet. Some are going to rebuild, some are staying in private hands, some are going to scrap. The ones that are out are probably going to stay ok in civilian hands. But the availability of them in the immediate future for private hands is extremely low.
