    BC use an 1/8 NPT pipe plug (brass) until you find the real thing. It can be used as a bleeder valve also by cracking it and then tightening it.

    Hmmm..I never had to replace mine... If you have the MS number for it, you should be able to look up the spec. Checked the ones on my spare engine and they are chewed up also.

    Check the spec, you may want to use "Premium Tractor Hydraulic fluid", available at NAPA, Carquest, Farm stores...That's what I'll be using in the 1969 Allison transmission.

    Is your pyro installed correctly? If the incorrect length thermocouple wires are used and error will be introduced on some instruments.

    Running out of fuel

    I keep a dip stick for checking fuel level just to be sure. Also check the grounding of the fuel level sending unit, it's grounded via the fuel pump. To improve the circuit, add a ground wire from the sending unit to the frame.

    An injector cleaner may help, but it's nothing like a good hard drive to make the engine happy, my deuce idles without smoke (it has been driven) and the 8x8 idles with a lot of blue/gray smoke (has been sitting for years)...
