"FedEx fuel" is gas and ULSD, right? Don't forget to add some oil, veggie or other to help with the lubricity. The oxygen in VO will give you better combustion aslo.

The MX unit will protect the VIC-1 system from reverse polarity hook-up, load dump (caused by poor battery connections) and overload conditions. It is also a convenient way to switch the intercom and other systems on and off. The TM says to use it and I highly recommend it. Also the fun will...

Once the knobs are set, you rarily need to change them and all can be hidden. I keep my system mounted to the rear bulkhead (behind the seats) and turn it all on and off with the switch on the MX7777.

I'd like to use one for waste veggie oil, filtering WVO is a PITA. Ken (Texas) centrifuged a sample of biodiesel/water for me a couple of years ago and it worked beautifully. His set-up is military surplus, though. I believe some fuel filters are based on the centrifuge principle also (Racor?).

If you want instant heat, install a multifuel burning heater (Stewart Warner South Wind), it is very effective, the TM even warns of warming the cab first so that the otherwise cold windshields don't crack from the exposure to hot air. The hotwater personnel heater wasn't ever used on the 757...

Bill, the cable shows up on ebay from time to time, but may not be described correctly, so use different keywords and look at the results for clues. Check "beltfed34" for example, he has cables that are not identified by part number.

I'm pretty sure the deuce cab heater is a 20,000 BTU unit....got any pictures?

Without anything else connected to the MX-7777, you can check polarity by touching the battery terminals with the ring terminals, wrong polarity will trip the breaker on the Mx unit....good test for the MX7777 as well.

Don't worry about it, from the one I have (from an M923), I have found that the non-vented case will cause a build-up of moisture and subsequent corrosion. There may also be a problem with one of the 100 amp relays (going by the design and looks of the case), it is switched "dry", which means...

Usually the connections are prone to develop high resistance and increase in temperature under load, if the cable(s) get hot before the connections, then the cable is overloaded, due to short circuit conditions and the like.
