RE: Re: RE: 5 ton shear pins
Found a reference to the alloy for the 260 series 5-ton winch (5315-00-209-7979), it is the 2017, probably -T4 temper, which has a shear strength of 38,000 psi.
It's a start...
Re: RE: One more problem, fuel question
Happened to me once, the pedal linkage wasn't free and clear, it hit the cab floor before reaching "full throttle". A grinder took care of it.
Good question, I have never tried to take one apart, I have one with burnt connectors and may give it a try one day.
On another, I plan on using butt splice connectors to extend the cables, since the insert is in good condition.
That's not correct, even a connection to the cab would be questionable. You want a solid path to the start motor ground connection.
There are butt splice connectors available to lengthen the cables, some are crimped some are soldered.
Ideally, each device should have its own dedicated (ground strap) ground return.

Re: RE: I am such a dumb a$$
Your best bet is to study the wiring diagram and locate the #21 wire, you may be able to find it right at the light switch or run a long wire from the rear of the vehicle since the wires are bundled...

In the late
1980's European original equipment manufacturers
began reverting back to the cartridge style oil filter. We
see this same trend beginning to appear in our North...
Hmmm..don't turn the canister on the gasket it will be distorted, should be in the TM, but isn't. Lift the canister off , wipe clean and install with pressure on the canister so as not to let it turn on the gasket while tightening...
The gasket should compensate for temperature...
You probably have the wrong slave connector/recepticle/cables, both cables are 32-1/2 inches long for the M35 (fig 333 in the -20P)....craneboy, huh!
Kind of funny actually.
