KC, do a search for dual heated tank set on the deuce and also the home made biodiesel projects....
Ken, any veggie oil will have an unacceptable viscosity by itself below 100°F, you have to mix it with kerosene or diesel or heat it for any percentage over about 20.
Fresh veggie oil is nice...
Well, the current is very small, less than 10 mA, it is a circuit that senses the presence of batteries and also a capacitor, that may leak, more if faulty.
Not enough to drain the batteries in months....
RE: wipers
Funny, the comment about drivers not the engine determine the speed, that must be a reference to vacuum operated wipers...
There are heavy duty air motors that will fit also....
Sounds like everything is progressing as planned.
Never stopped at the KOA with an MV, need to try that some time...
For the long trips, gauges become important, that's for sure, you can't have too many. :-)
The procedure you are derscribing merges with mine for checking the boost and egt...
It was white, then changed to black in the early 1970's. I'm going with the subdued colors and I have found all markings except possibly the complete vehicle number on the driver's side front bumper.
All this talk about stenciling got me motivated to add the star on the 757.
The location and size follows the original, which was a decal on the same spot.
The remains of the decal gave me the points of the star for an easy to complete home made stencil.
The residue in image #2 is from the...
The only ground wire for the fuel tank is #79 and it goes from the frame to the fuel pump via the connector on top. This also supposedly grounds the fuel level sending unit and provides a "static" ground for the tank. Check it!
The filter on the frame below the alternator is also a water separator and must be drained from time to time as should the secondary and final filters on the engine. The screen on the in-tank fuel pump rarily gets clogged.
If you have fuel to the Injection Pump, but nothing to the injectors (no...
This is for the M35, but should give you some ideas.

Very interesting information Neil, thanks for sharing! Jason Curtis in Arkansas should find this valuable and you too David, but you are much further along than he is.
The original solid state ones (ca 1965), used a heavy duty SCR to do the switching and was able to handle a short circuit load until a circuit breaker (CB) would trip. The CB is the 20 amp one built-in in the 3-lever switch. They were labeled 10 amps for capacity. The newer units, ca 2000, use...
You can take it a step further and get a turn signal buzzer out of it too, the buzzer sounds off when the turnsignals are used using only one flasher unit, what's shown above implies that a second flasher unit is used.
Play with the parts, just remember that the new flasher units don't handle...
For all you people who can't stand the sound of the buzzer, but still want it connected.
Use a turn signal flasher unit to make it go beep...beep...beep..., much less annoying.
The hook up will require the purchase of a matching connector to wire into the flasher. Part number is MS3106A16-10S...
RE: Driveshaft clearance
Your comments on the check valve are right on target, I have seen them get fouled up by tiny specks of dirt and feel that the air (or fuel) should be filtered before passing through the valve(s). The same thing happens when using, so called pilot operated solenoid...
