AAA Towing is GP's off of Ft. Bragg facility. GP does not (in so far as all my interactions with them) have any other off base facility, thus, it (has to be) should be AAA Towing.
So, you paid AAA Towing to tow a non-running vehicle, in their yard, to your truck. I've been at AAA Towing, I have offered load out assistance at. Ft. Bragg and surrounding areas for the past 6 months. And you're mad at GP? GP subcontracted to AAA Towing. GP does NOT run AAA towing. GP is...
I don't recognize this unit at all... and that center... thing... is not what I've seen in inventory. Do you have any data plates or other reference material? Did you buy it from somewhere that provided a NSN?
you are correct in the lighting. The 4 drilled holes in the rear bumperettes I have not seen before. They are installed upside down. There's no rear pintle hitch. Wiper motors. There's some sort of reflector above the front wheels, not original.
If you're not overly familiar... please make sure you stop by the TM section, download, and read over the manuals.
no clue on cross over part numbers, I don't have anything that size, permanently.
There's two guys on here, technoweenie and Alaksaboy who have bough M934 vans out of Bragg and driven them across country... one with no problems one with some problems.
You will want/need more than just a tool box. You will need some spare parts, such as 24v bulbs for the taillights and...
All US Military vehicles are supposed to have a 5 point star to identify them as US Forces. The FMTV series is supposed to have one centered in the front of the cab a few inches above the grill, and one centered on the back cross member where the tailgate attaches too. They don't always get...
I used to have access to a System that I could possibly generate reports from the Army (sometimes I could sometimes they were blank). Unfortunetly, since leaving the service I do not have access to it anymore. I may in the future. CARNAC did, but no longer AFAIK.
There's 2 MMDs on Bragg. MMD South was destroyed by a Tornado in 2011 but is back to fully operational. MMD occupies the "Depot" level maintenance in the old maintenance scheme. They don't tear down quite as far as red stone, which would go all the way down to the frame. MMD will do...
Well, about halfway through seat disassembly. Good thing I'm not married as the wife would be pissed I was doing it in the middle of the living room. Way too hot outside.
I have "completed" my Pioneer tool rack, and am looking into mounting options. bolting vs. riveting. It will be offset...
Valid and true, but the terminology in use in the military is "LMTV" for an LMTV and "FMTV" for an MTV. This gets changed if you are talking about different trucks, such as the "FMTV wrecker" (vs HEMMT wrecker) or an "FMTV longbed" True, these should be called something else, but this is what...
It's a fun museum isn't it? I've been there a handful of times between my two tours. Very well designed and very enlightening.
There was also this exhibit, heck if I can remember where, that was a large room that provided "Thank you" and details of EACH country that provided personnel...
Rusty, it depends on the base. I haven't met a DLA person in the GP "sales lot" yet. but if I go to DRMO for a GL pickup it's all DLA minus the one GL rep.
As far as phone number and scheduling, I'd make sure you let GP know, hopefully they can update their site or something.
