    HMMWV Barstow recovery 6/25/2015

I'd agree, but it depends if the MEL was done prior to the dispo or after the dispo. If before, then yes, after... ****ty operator/mechanic.

Govplanet M998 - Full tank of fuel and Ballistic Glass?

Remember, just because DLA received the item doesn't mean that it was going to be sold/auctioned/scapped. Vehicles end up with police and fire departments, with the Navy, Coast Guard, Marines... even the Border Patrol. May end up being shipped to a NG or USAR unit as well. So, it makes sense...

Need advice on a custom project

Ok... so... you want an MRAP halftrack... why not start with an MRAP Chassis? There's one being advertised on here right now. I'd go with some sort of Caterpillar track system. find a smaller or medium sized Dozer and pull parts off of that. That way you don't run into supply issues later...

    Offloading Tracked Vehicles

Factor here was also an all metal set of tracks vs. a rubber & metal set, that allowed for the "easiness" of the slide. In all reality, basic issues. Wrong end of trailer being the biggest, then again those ramps didn't look like they could have handled the weight...

does anyone know if the govt ran out of surplus trucks to sell

Correct. Trucks are Rolling Stock. GovPlanet has the Rolling stock contract. This also includes support equipment, trailers, and similar. Government liquidations still has the non-rolling stock. That is the spare parts, tool boxes, and such.

My M880 Thread (pics plus bonus M882)

going to head out this morning and put the replacement arm on. (Thank you!!) I'll add this picture as it's current (at least until the new arm goes on) but shows the amber light bar. One issue. It seems to "loose fuel" when sitting. that in I have to crank it and pump the gas pedal to get...
