I was going to add door handles with locks but decided I wanted to keep the original looks. My solution was to do the combat door locks:-) Keep a window unlatched. Jump up on the fender, open the window, reach in and unlock the door...viola.
Well there was about 2-3 ft of snow on top of the trailers and snow drifts around them. The only thing you could make out was a pintle and a silhouette of one tire:roll:
Nah, this is GL we're talking about. The least amount of effort is the road they choose. Still laughing about the trailers they had listed over the winter. They could have easily taken a broom to a trailer to wipe some of the snow off. Rather they took a pic of a mound of snow and called that...
I hear you Reub! Same story here with my '88. To someone else they probably thought I was on something. But to me she is worth every penny. It all depends on who is buying it. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder;-) Gosh and these trucks are beautiful:-P
Well, I did bid on the 15.5 but then I realized that they would probably be too bid for the deuce. On flat ground no problem but with offroad use I think they'd be too big. Not sure how those tires would do with the articulating rear end. I gave up around $600, plus I was at work and got...
The air pack bleeder can be seen on the passenger side of the unit at the 12:00 position just in front of the air reservoir. Looks like a zerk but that is your bleeder. It is at a 45 degree angle. The order should be MC, airpack, furthest wheel cylinder
Some guys use air tool oil, BFS, or OHT to lubricate their air packs. Have you tried disconnecting the master cylinder vent line and clear the line with air? Pics would be great:wink:
First off, what color is the smoke? Assuming the smoke is white, does the smoke dissipate once in open air or does it linger around. What does the smoke smell like? Does it smell like diesel or can you pickup a hint of antifreeze?
White color- Possible coolant involvement or could be...
It is highly possible...mine is leaking also. I parked my duece at church, came out 2 hours later...boom, noticed the deuce marked it's spot. Sorry church for leaving that 8 inch diamter puddle of GL-1:roll:
Well, I've got most of the winches complete. Thus far I have replaced the seals in all three winches. Got 2/3 mounted with their driveshafts. I've got the PTO's enroute. Should have 2/3 truck complete this weekend. I still need a couple little parts like the drum lock pin, 3/8 studs for PTO...
Wow, your truck is looking great! Just got the two winches thrown on the '68 and '88 over the weekend. Got a stuck driveshaft part on another winch that needs to be tended to. Once I get that resolved, the '86 will have a winch as well.
