Jim, hobby?? LOL, my adventure first started into looking at VW Cabriolets to tinker on. One thing led to another and boom I got my first deuce in AUG08. My thoughts were to get just one....five trucks later...LOL. There is something about MV ownership that surpasses everything else. You'll...
Hello from the very much wet and liberal:roll: side of the state...I need to get east of the mountains!! Welcome Aboard!!! Great to see more PNW MV'ers joining our ranks. You should check out Todds (MilitaryRestoration) place. He's got a dag gone motorpool:wink:. If you have any questions...
Oh I saw it too:wink:. I'm just trying to sell it before I end up tripping over it and breaking the glass. I don't have a 900 series truck nor do I plan to ever have one. I bought this thing by mistake. Guy claimed it was for a deuce. It looked a little too wide but didn't realize it was...

Ah yes, I will soon go from w/ow to w/w as well. My garage floor and my work bench are covered in GL-1 right now. I'm on the 3rd out of 3 winches that I am rebuilding. Replacing all the seals and cleaning up all the garbage on the insides. It's amazing how much ugly stuff resides in there:wink...
Ahh Chinese. Home of the mystery metals and mystery woods. For a part like that, I'd advise against getting Chinese made junk. Though it may look good and resemble an American made part, however the mystery metal will show it's ugly head down the road. Their metals are of a mystery formula and...
Yah, just go down to HD or Lowe's and buy a quality tarp. Great pic Mike, it's 70 degrees out right now but that pic is making me start to shiver. Hard to think that weather's right around the corner.
The only inside camo jobs I've seen are from USANG trucks. Pretty crude camo jobs at best. The trucks I've seen were either paint brushed on or cheap rattle can painted on. Most of the depot rebuilds came with the solid 383 Green inside the cabs, no camo
I was hoping to see some pics of that event. I was hoping to make it to that event but found it upon myself to take a nap instead:roll: The OT at work and staying up last night until 0130 hours rebuilding winches didn't help. Glad you had a good time!!
