I think these will work also, for someone interested in experimenting a little. Heavy duty truck air motor, similar to the ones used on the xm757 8x8...

Looks like I need to upload some info PS Magazine style on the Gama Goat.
Since I was part owner of this particular vehicle a year ago, I collected as much information as I could on it.
Here is a teaser.
If the bypass valve is open, obviously the pressure drop across the filter(s) becomes zero...
I installed a differential pressure gauge to monitor the filters, but haven't used it (=truck) much since.
I'm thinking about your explanation of the "schirmventilferstellung" (item 20, in the figure), if you can restrict the airflow, perhaps an engine braking feature is also possible....like the throttle on a gas engine...never heard of restricting intake airflow on a diesel....
Thanks Mark! Very interesting, puts a different perspective on things.
Check out this "Wrecker" application.

Don't know how appropriate this is, but I have one of these pintle hooks for sale. Probably from a Gama Goat, PM me for details.
That's one heavy duty bumper to mount that crane!
RE: multifuel motors used in farm tractors
It would be interesting to see some German applications of the MAN "Wisper Engine". Design details in particular.
The bypass valve in the filter base open when the differerential pressure (the pressure across the filters) exceeds 15 psi. Don't understand where the rpm comes into the picture....
This pressure is a function of blockage within the filters and the clean (original) filter diff pressure is less...
Worked a little on the front axles today. Removed a shock that had been dented and acted as a solid strut and aligned the axles. The torn torque rod was replaced a couple of days ago and all steering knuckle boots were removed yesterday, all torn, I'm just waiting for more Aervoe paint, which...
Good observation Andy. Fact is that I traded the delivery of the dolly (from Florida) for six new 1100-20 NDCC's. Jason mounted 4 of them on the spot, great guy!
