Doesn't change things.
NC law is that you must title a vehicle within 28 days of purchase/delivery. It takes far longer than that to get an SF-97.
NC law also makes it a crime to misrepresent the date of purchase in order to avoid the above crime, so if the SF-97 is dated later than the actual...
Part of the problem is they are doing this in 50 different states and some territories, and every one has their own unique laws and procedures. And they are using one set of standard procedures for everyone.
Its nothing unique to GP, this was an issue with legality back in the GL days too in NC...
I said it above but it bears repeating in its own post since the GP rep is giving this out as how to operate- if you are dating SF-97's other than the date of actual sale and representing that as the sale date that is a crime in NC, a class III misdemeanor, and using an SF-97 with a date later...
This problem will bring some pretty big problems for people in many states.
Lets look at the potential problems this is causing in NC. You can find the total list of all applicable laws here: https://connect.ncdot.gov/business/dmv/dmv%20documents/nc%20title%20manual.pdf
and here...
It could be done, but its not a bolt-on kit and would require a good bit of welding and fab. The best way would probably be finding the surge brake assembly from an M105A3
I converted an M105 to electric over hydraulic using one of these actuators and have been very happy. It ws an easy...
From a business perspective, keep in mind that the number of surplus HMMWV's being sold is very finite, we will not see this kind of volume much longer.
Sit and run the numbers on how much work you need to keep the shop out of the red and if you can do that volume now, and if you can when these...
In most states an SF-97 given to you by a seller is worthless. It is made out in their name, and only they can apply for a title with it. They cannot transfer it without being a dealer.
I see lots of people who buy a vehicle and are given an SF-97 by the seller who then can't do anything to get...
And here is just the cap for $25- but if you are dropping $25 on a cap at that point if it was just me I would go ahead for a few bucks more and just replace the whole master cylinder.
FYI if you need a master cylinder this one is a perfect fit and function for a lot less than trailer stores sell them for. I have replaced M101A2 and M416A1 master cylinders with that one.
Ok folks, I just bought out another Surplus dealer who is closing up shop and have Base-X 205 tents available and am going to let them go right to move them fast.
i will need payment now to hold them for the rally, because they will be for sale here locally also and I need to know they are...
Looking at the welds and the metal thickness, it's a homemade job.
Look at the sprocket on the front- that is a very flimsy setup and is clearly for some sort of light duty tracked ATV. It woukdnt handle real tracks alone much less moving the weight of a real armored vehicle. Same for those...
These marine grade antennas work really well. You have to drill, but you will have to have a hole for any proper antenna. Nice thing about these is that you can mount it anywhere and the base will swivel to get it straight.
