Honda are very reliable, perhaps even one of the most reliable cars out there. That doesn’t make them a POS. That honor comes from other attributes. Mostly the fact that they are from overseas and I don’t like them.
The hard ship is , if you simply don’t have the time to read through ~130 pages to find what is relevant to you.
P.S. @rtrask i went looking for the bush hog post from your index. It is supposed to be 742, but that post is not about bushhogging. So is this index really accurate?
Congratulations on your move. I know it’s difficult keeping track of things and where they are in a big move.
I think having many threads about a certain project is probably a better thing as it makes google searches easier. I don’t use the forum search , as it’s pretty much useless.
I have...
Getting the pins out wasn't really bad. The end caps came off nicely, too. Got the bucket situated in a safe manner. everything went really smooth.
Until I got the bag with all the seals out and matched up the seals with the bucket cylinders. That's when I realized that my seal kit was just for...
@rtrask do you mind taking pictures of what your old master cylinder looked like inside and post in a thread? I’d like to see whether the inside was pitted or the seals went out… or both.
This thread is a total CF . It’s so convoluted and a bunched up mess of topics. I’d it helpful when...
Does anyone know where this parts belongs ?
I found two- on either side of the frame rail .
Update: I figured out what the two strips are, they are holding the bottom plate under the radiator to the frame.
So I bought myself some tools from ebay
in order to replace the leaky seals and gaskets in my SEE’s hydraulic system.
I bought the seal kit from eBay as well
is there any advice on how to tackle this job?
Like any hints on hammering the roll Pins out that hold the cylinder pins in place?
@Speedwoble i want to get this iso32 fluid. Should be the right stuff, correct? Since there is a few gallon in that system, I think I’ll get a 55gallon barrel right away.

What fluid should I fill the system with?
Lubrication order calls for OE/HDO-10 which is I think a W10 oil? What is recommended ? Normal hydraulic oil?
To answer my own question: pushed in the rollers to make flush with the round case. Then I filed it with a needle file to remove any burrs and such. Made sure the pin fit in before putting the bushing in the transmission. A good piece of advice is to mark the location of the holes on the top of...
While I was probing around I found a rubber hose that connects to a junction and then to the proportionate valve. I have a feeling it is going to be sealed shut.
I am thinking more along the lines of a valve being rusted shut somewhere between master cylinder and wheels. I’ll have a closer look at the ALB tomorrow.
