Got the Deuce cleaned up for wedding Duty on the 6th. A friend of mine is getting married & she asked me to transport her & her bridesmaid contingent to the ceremony. The Deuce hasn't been out since May (busy schedule this year) so it had a good bit of dust on it. A few hours work & it is...
I figured it would become a splat on the windshield, a hood ornament, or a bumper dent. Maybe you should install a cow catcher to brush these car ramp candidates out of your way.:naner::driver:
Welcome to the family. Is was where you are in Jun 2016. So much excitement when I brought my Deuce home. Still love opening the door to see it sitting there. I dreamt of having a Deuce since 1996 & it sometimes seems like a dream that I finally reached my goal.
I've thought about that, but most drive throughs here either have tight turns at one end or the other or a low roof outside to shade the window clerk. Either way, I'd probably do some unintended building modifications. LOL!
On a similar note though, an Aussie Burger from Hungry Jack's sure...
Gday mate,
I'm thinking I'd make it an annual event to take my team out to lunch with the Deuce. Too bad there aren't any places that do valet parking. Muhahaha /8-)
Third. Since I had the day off, I drove my Deuce to work & transported my team to lunch at the local AppleBee' s. This was their first time seeing or riding in a Deuce & they all had a blast.
Second. Attended the Falcon Air Show with members of our club & one of the other clubs, plus the Commemorative Air Force, & a classic car show. I only have 4 photos to share right now as I haven't pulled the others off my GoPro yet, but I'll add more soon. As you can see, the excitement was...
Did a lot with my Deuce the last 2 weeks & put a hair over 700mi on it. So...here we go.
First. Our club, AMVCC, PARTICIPATED in what could be called a "mock zombie bugout" for corporate members of the Canadian National (railway). We picked them up & convoyed the to the nearby airport, along...
M35A2-AZ & I pulled apart my mid axle to look for a possible brake leak. Both outer seals needed replaced & differential fluid was leaking past the woodruff. No brake leak though so we cleaned out the green cheese looking gunk & replaced with high temp bearing grease. Start to finish with me...
According to the link frank8003 posted, "APC Tech Message #92—Authorizes SKYSOL® as an environmentally compliant replacement for PD-680, Type I &Type II for cleaning U.S. Army weapons, ground vehicles, equipment, and aviation materials."
Sounds like it is better than PD680. Dawn & water sounds...
Anyone know if Skysol 100 is available anywhere? I' going to be doing some Axle work & the TM says to use that for cleaning the axle flange & hub.
CLEANING AND INSPECTION
1. Clean gasket (4) remains from mating surfaces.
WARNING Skysol 100 solvent is combustible; DO NOT use or store near...
Cool looking cover!
Ok, here is a question that I keep thinking when I hear people talking about ponds in the cab. Why not just open the winch control flap or the brake fluid flap & let the water drain out on the drivers side? As for the passenger side, what about tapping a small hole in the...
Drake fluid level holding steady in the remote reservoir. I had this same issue with the front wheels & it looked like old grease had melted. The brake cylinders were fine. I'l check for whatever the problem is though.
Spent 6-hours washing the Deuce in preparation for the 27th Annual Military Vehicle show on the 27-28th. I got a bunch of hidden dust out of the frame & scrubbed little pockets of it off bolts & places where it clung to a bit of oil or grease. My canvas chain guards of the rear gate were tan...
