That would be your intake manifold.
The injection pump sets directly in front of that and has lines going to each injector to feed fuel.
The intake manifold is removed from this particular engine being at the time of taking said picture I was reinstalling the pump after a rebuild for a friend.
I definitely have pushed my truck hard, jumped it several times, scooped dirt with the bumper and pushed trees back. Took it to the truck pull a few times also, ran it to over 100mph (in a 55 zone hahaha), haven't had it in a tug of war yet. Everyone that talked crap about my truck never would...
Today I tinkered on the green machine a little. Fired it up and let it run and tuned the carburetor. Fixed some broken wiring on my kc lights and got them working. All in the 20 degree weather.
Fun day.
I used to hold the throttle to the floor every time I started my truck when it had the 6.2. turn key on get in hold throttle all the way down when light would go out crank it over. As soon as it started to cough into life let off the trottle and see what happens. Most if the time that was good...
When the ip went on my truck the valve was plugged and full of trash. Cleaned it and got a little more life but it showed me the pump was dead.
Good advice barrman
I've seen this awesome truck. I would have driven vary fast in some sketchy stuff down some sketchy roads and would not want more speed in that thing. It is awesome and I would have loved to watch it off road but I don't think speed is its strong suit.
Ok.
Mine will run great if I keep it around 2500rpm+ but it starts to get weird if I try to creep through town. I need to tune it right. I basically made it run good and left for ga rally lol.
I'd like to know how he got that 850 to feed right.
My 750 edelbrock has been giving me a little trouble lately. I think I just need to adjust it, it's not liking idling right now. Trys to flood out
Thanks guys.
It is very torquey. You can watch it twerk at 40mph when you open the 4 barrel haha. Fuel mileage does suck, I'm getting Maybe 8mpg. I did end up using the factory 6.2 motor mounts and turns out they did bolt up correctly. The ones Napa got me would not line up though. I had to...
Here is a pic if Alexis my girlfriend.
Don't vote for my ugly self (I meet papabear at the ga rasp he can vouch for my ugliness) vote for my beautiful sweetheart
A vote for my truck is not just for me. It's also for my girlfriend, she loves riding in the truck. Going mudding and off road, burning down the blacktop winding it out. So I would earn some brownie points if my truck won. It would make her happy. Come on guys think about the joyful beautiful...
