This thread has lots of pics and info on my truck what I've done to it. I run the truck hard, and maintain it harder.

Here is the thread that I did on my big block 454 swap
I used a autometer tiny tach on my 6.2 it used a sensor that you clamped to the alternator and then adjust to get the proper idle reading. Now adtional load in the alt will make it read funny sometimes but that's ok.
I am now using the same tach on my 454 that I put in the truck and it works fine.
Today I replaced the king pin bushings and springs in the front axle. The truck had grown a case of death wobble and the new springs and bushings has basically solved it. Still a slight shake here and there but there's probably my tires. I'm happy for now.
I bet the the vacuum lines are I need of replacement. Same thing happened to a friend's blazer. The vacume lines where all rotted and leaking causing higher shifts and such. Replace the rubber and report back
98g and Royalflush55
My approach angle is hurt because the bumper sticks out so far but I actually like it because I use the bottom of the bumper to grade off anything that will hang my diff when I'm going through a ditch and with the 454 I have enough power to bust through. I don't think it...
I will jump in. This was taken at ga rally this year.
Sandcobra I didn't know you where at the rally. Oh well can't meet everyone the first time I reckon.
Nice hitch.
You don't use a mig welder do you?
That's all we ever use to build.
10 inch channel iron with a 1/2x8 all the way across for the winch to bolt to and to help stiffen it up. Braces here and there then used 3 inch angle iron with a 1/2 inch wall to weld to the stock shackle mounts...
