Well we got some warmer weather recently so I went back to fiddling with the shelter. Removed the rusted skids underneath, riveted some patch panels over the few cuts in the out skin, removed the remainder of the shelving bracketry and replaced the door hinges with some greaseable types. I...
Yeah, I believe Ill add the plywood base and then just some of the new style linoleum strips. You can clearly see the substructure which is good for attaching the plywood. I spent a bit of time the other day patching up the dents and/or tears on the exterior, riveting on some covers. Next...
I rebuilt the original dryer on my 1081. Kit came with everything, but I forget what I paid. It was fairly straightforward and there was some gunk, but nothing more that I expected. Maybe Ill "upgrade" later, but it seems to work pretty well. The bead were labeled "desiccant" on the kit I had...
"It's been a couple years since I took mine off, but I don't think the OEM metal tube had o-rings. I think it's just a standard flare fitting. But I could be wrong. "
I just replaced mine not long ago. It actually is a flat interface, no flare or o-ring. I thought it was strange to not have...
You just have to setup and account. I paid $21.00, new in the Cat wrapper. Just setup a login, your address etc and the prices will update. I ordered filters for $6.00 too.
Well I guess I should’ve looked at the data plate. Seller thought it was a 280. It’s actually an S-141 electrical shelter. The data plate also shows three long skids, left, right and middle lengthwise. I did some cleaning and found multiple bolt holes for those skids go attach. Looks like there...
Here is the inside as it sits. You can see down the middle of the room the impression of a support under the floor, pretty much inline with the remainder of the rusted skid on the bottom. This model does appear to have spray foam for insulation versus batten pieces in the walls.
NDT, yeah that portion you noted is a skid shaped structure, which has rusted away with only a little left. Each corner has a similar piece, but with a cutout for a hook to hold down. I was thinking about putting a rubber stall mat layer between the bed and the bottom of the shelter to dampen...
I picked up an s280 shelter, and am going to redo the inside to use as a camper to put in my LMTV bed. But before I go too far, I'd like to know if someone can give me and idea of the floor structure before I tear into it. I will say that the steel slides or runners under the unit are nearly...
I had Wes do a tradeout awhile back, sent my 998 down to Florida and brought my LMTV back up. Was very easy to work with and friendly. Highly recommend.
No, it had a leaking front cover due to vibration as well. It was repaired and then after reassembly, the hose must have been in wrong position and got chewed up by the fan at a later date.
It lined up quite well from what I saw. I will say I don't like the flat surface seal it has though. Seems like a flared seal would be better. The old line did have quite a layer of rust building up under the flaking yellow paint though, right up next to the collar. So I would say it was on its...
Well I finally found time to replace mine. Part was an exact match, so no manufacturer changes. I couldn't see any awkward angle or bends, but the line did have some rusting up around the upper fitting. So I felt good about replacing it. My engine serial number is 7ag04670, arrangement number...
