    Wiper arm options?

The arms I used were listed as jeep YJ. They have a little rod that prevents the spring action from closing while not on the vehicle. Once i put the arm and blade onto the wiper motor shaft, I pulled the arm up a little and removed the pin. The spring then latches onto the shaft and the arm is...

If I could find a rolling chassis ....

This was done on the show "dirt every day." They used their surplus hmmwv on one episode with 40's and went crawling. Later on in another episode, they chopped the frame and shortened it up quite a bit. Its on the motortrend app someplace.

    Four man soft top kit

With Breton going under, I would say the price will continue to climb.

    Snow Handling

A good set of snow/wet tires helps a lot on nearly any vehicle. I didn't see what tires your running, but the MT have a definite lack of siping which helps a lot. I always heard regardless of 4wd, to put some bags of sand in your any truck bed for more weight as well. I am not sure what tires...

    700R4 transmission in a HMMWV

I have personally seen the kit installed on a 6.2. It seems well done throughout with exception of the final exhaust leg. Its an accident waiting to happen. It exits UNDER the frame rail beneath the passenger seat and then goes back out the rear. You will not be offroading with it very long. I...

    Supplemental bed armor placement help

Its about 1.5" from that edge. Hard to see in the edited pic, but you can just make out the edge of the armor and the edge of the wheel well.

    Supplemental bed armor placement help

I neglected to take picture yesterday, but found one that i have already taken and zoomed in. The plate is edged right up to that hole with the plug. I didn't realize mine was not covered either. I pulled my slant back brackets off, but the plate is still in its original place.

    Supplemental bed armor placement help

Yeah its pretty much centered, just make sure it doesn't interfere with tailgate. I don't recall if it uses another hole or not, it was already on the truck. As for the plugged hole, I would just leave it and put it over top. Maybe a little silicone to keep water from creeping through.

    Supplemental bed armor placement help

Mine is bolted on, sits about 1.5" above bed floor and is about the same sitting back from the seat back corner of the tub. Looks to be where it was from installation initially.

    Our BRDM2 chemical recon vehicle

I am still trying to convince my wife we need one of these. I look at them online in Europe quite often. Maybe I can find a trader for my hmmwv...lol

    NP242 reliability behind 5.9L Cummins

Sounds like you have all the parts to figure it out. Slap them together and tell us how it works lol.

How Likely is This to Destroy my Engine (see pics)

Those look like the correct 24v plugs. The 12v that I have seen have blades instead of the bullet connectors like you have. I recently replaced mine after some starting issues and had two that were destroyed and one on its way. I was able to remove the pieces of one, but the others were no where...

    Loud clonk while shifting gears

The "warm" part would to me say its use related for sure. As the vehicle is used, heat builds in alot of moving parts and thus expansion, exacerbating the clunk. Id start simple. Check your fluid level in the transmission and transfer case when warm and see if its incorrect. Then those u joints...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Changed out all my injectors, runs great now. Also installed led dash lights. Next is the spindle lock nuts and tabs, sitting on the table waiting for me.

    Slantback/helmet top/soft top differences

I have had a soft top and an Amtech lowrise hardtop. I have not had the slantback. The Amtech was pretty nice to have, but youre still going to have leaks around doors, heat reflection, good storage with the side cabinets, poor visibility without adding rear window. I have heard the same with...

Hard Start, white smoke despite good glowplugs and 24v at each lead??

If your truck sat for awhile at auction, replace the mechanical fuel pump. If you haven't changed the filters do that as well, and some fuel system cleaner. If this doesn't clean it up, start working through the glow plugs. Just my history with them.

    M998 A0 A1 A2?

My 1043 has had no MWO’s completed. I thought all were supposed to be completed or was it arbitrary?

    M998 A0 A1 A2?

I don't know about the a0 a1 a2 designations, but I am certain that when I go to register mine, I will do my best to get it done as an HMSUV lol
