my m62 is a 1953 and it was converted to a multifuel. i just paid 5000 last year, it did blow a head gasket and i paid 700 to get it home. so, i guess i paid more around 5000 plus 700 plus gaskets and head work.

has anyone ran into problems with gl bacause they werent personally available to assist in a pick up. i am looking at buying a 5 ton from gl about 350 miles away and i wont be able to be on site to assist with any paperwork or loading of the truck.

the truck has been sitting for years before i bought it. would it be advisable to drive the truck, and if it is doing fine, leave it alone? or, should i start looking at brakes and transfer cases?

would it be possible that the sprag is sticking? if that is the case, couldnt i flush the tranny with diesel or any other suggested fluid. i would think that would be the easiest, fastest, and cheapest first attempt at fixing the problem.

if an epoxy primer will stick to carc, could i paint the entire truck with an epoxy paint. what types of paint have people used to paint over carc. how well did it work.

i want to repaint my truck. i have painted many vehicles, but never with carc. do i have to use carc for the paint to adhere? what other kinds of paint could i use? if i bead blast the paint do i need to be very worried about the carc dust?

i think this would classify as resurecting an old thread. i have a m62 with a multifuel. were all m62s gas? my tranny is in the normal pattern. that is with 5th in the bottom right. it is my understanding that the diesels and multifuels came with 5th at the top right. would that mean...
the use of gear oil in the tranny is ok, but i dont understand the gl-5 with the ml rating statement. sorry for my ignorance. i usually only have to be told once or twice before it sinks in.
