Right, I think the 5 ton pattern's center hole is around 8-1/2" rather than the 11" center hole in most mrap rims that is needed for them to adapt to the deuce hubs... so it's not likely to confuse the 2 as long as you do a quick measurement
Well done, it turned out great looking and its nice to have all that hub maintenance recently behind you. Oh and Im going to guess your younger son is about 46" tall;-)
That will be an easy part to get fortunately (once someone tells us what they are called again anyway). That low pressure safety shut off valve thing is a common part to large trucks and not specific to the air-o-matic. Napa will probably stock them.
I know I had an issue with one of those lines. I ended up keeping the fitting and put a new nut/ferrule on it, then put a piece of 1/4" brass rod in there to use as my plug. Its not ideal but it works and its what I had on hand at the time.
Some of the fuel fittings on these trucks are near...
Exactly, someone else made them for half the cost and it still took 1-1/2 months to sell the first 4 he made that we were all so hot for. We are all cheap buggers with grand plans until its time to get our wallets out. Glad you stopped in to say hi!
I'm afraid its still sitting on my work bench slowly getting buried by other projects. I did "Check things out" again maybe a month or 2 ago just to verify that everything should physically fit, and it still looks like it will. Its one of those projects that will have the deuce out of...
I did the rearviewsafety brand camera system also for my m109 deuce. I actually just got a second camera and monitor to add onto the cargobox cover on the trailer. First kit was from costco.com, second was amazon. They are weatherproof, 12-24v, IR night visibility, and have lots of options. I...
I'll plan on going with my M109a3 deuce, that time frame should work.
Thanks for grabbing the bull by the horns on this Jeeperjoe! Thanks for offering your property up Hoefler!
Awesome! I can help out Pete (with whatever). As long as its sometime after memorial day then Ill bring my truck (need to finish up repairs), but Id attend either way.
Does anyone have any pictures or instructions of the TM AMERICA alternator bracket installed? I got a kit secondhand and looking at it, I cant figure out how it would install. I cant get in touch with TM AMERICA either.
Any help or picture showing how it mounts would be appreciated!
There is a 365/80R20 that would be a nice fit for the deuce as they are a little smaller diameter. They arent as common as the 395's though so they are also more expensive.
Id sure be interested, but Im pretty sure it wont be at Drive-A-tank since they dont reply to pms or this thread they started. Maybe we just pick a date and location that a few of us can/will make it. Then start a new thread, invite others, and hope for the best?
