    There was a reinforcement kit (I believe for the M35A3) which added a bracket between the frame and rear crossmember.

    I am pretty sure that I used two shaft seals; one after another. The second seal stick out slightly but still helps.

    I've had good luck using a vacuum oven to dry out dessicant (assuming the only contaminant is water).

    There was a production change to an undercut valve guide but it also appears to have been a kit to fit the earlier engines. Unfortunately, I don't have any part numbers. An ag dealer may be able to help you.
