Are you sure your getting glow now?
Does the voltage drop when the wait light comes on?
Maybe the connections to some of your glow plugs are corroded or rusty.
Check em.
After that, try giving it a double glow cycle before you turn it over.
Turn key on and when the wait light goes out, turn the...

Replaced rear u-joint M1009.
The GM factory u-joints in the M1009 are 3R and glued into the end yokes and slip yoke.
After inspecting my driveshafts by blocking the wheels and putting the truck in neutral with the parking brake released, I found play in the rear u-joint of the rear driveshaft...
Yea, I would try a different pump too.
Don't take this the wrong way;
After installing my rebuilt injector pump, without bleeding air or anything, the motor started after the second session of cranking.
Not trying to rub it in, just saying that if you even bleed the air out, that thing should...
Found a 1953 CJ3B in a farm field in La Honda California.
It had a cracked head but I put it back together anyways.
It had been a airline jeep with a conveyor belt over the passenger side so that fender was sloped at a steep angle.
Well, I got it running well enough to drive it every day and so...
I wonder if there is fuel in the bowl.
Unless there is a problem with your pump, it has to be that fuel shut off solenoid.
Maybe it is clicking but not doing opening.
One thing to be careful of if you take that bowl top off to inspect the solenoid, with that linkage off you have no way to stop...
Here are my two rigs;
A 1986 M1009 stock height, stock wheels, 31 10.5 15 tires.
A 1976 K5 Blazer stock height, 15x8 Daytona steel rims, 33 10.5 15 BFG KM2's (yes, 10.5 wide)
That 1976 K5 is at stock height and weighs 5,200 lbs measured at the scale at the dump.
The corners of the fenders...
Yeppers, I bought that 30 mm deep well special fuel injector socket based on info I found here.
Got some PB blaster too.
Just need a day off to get some things done;
Finish testing Paradox kit.
Replace rear brake shoes.
Replace fuel injectors.
Remove and rebuild Transfer case.
Replace motor...
Tinstar, I am so glad you said that.
My M1009 has 95,000 on it and besides replacing the injection pump and glow plugs, I have yet to replace the fuel injectors.
However, I have a brand new set of Delphi injectors from that guy on Ebay claiming "ONLY US MADE!!".
Just waiting till I get data on...
It is podunk but...
On my 1976 K5 I just bungee corded a prestone container into the corner of the wheel well behind the headlight.
then I drilled a hole in the cap and stuck the radiator overflow into it.
As long as the hose sticks below the top of the coolant mix in the prestone container the...
I took my 1986 M1009 out for a road test today.
The Paradox kit installed.
Freshly rebuilt injection pump by Oregon fuel injection.
Brand new 4 core Brass and copper radiator.
New 190 degree thermostat and 16 lb radiator cap.
50/50 mix Prestone/water.
I have a bulb style mechanical water...
Actually the kit can be deleted while it is still installed on the vehicle.
I have this kit on my M1009.
One of the kit hoses can be sent over to the other head instead of forward.
The crossover connection can be looped to itself using the second hose.
I plan to do just that to see what effect...
No, they don't add a piece of tubing to the middle.
Are you joking?
The welds holding the end yokes to the tubing are machined out.
The end yokes are pressed into a new piece of tubing the proper length, straightened, welded, and spin balanced.
I highly doubt six states or Dennys would cost that...
Nathus, Denny's Driveshafts can build a driveshaft for you and ship it anywhere in the world.
I highly recommend you use them or another online service such as; http://www.sixstates.com/products/categoriessuppliers.jsp?category=DL
who are actual automotive driveshaft builders.
No offense to the...
Maybe it is normal.
But there is the possibility your radiator is not quite doing it's job.
Have you had it cleaned professionally at any time?
Why I ask is that straight water is the most effective coolant.
Adding antifreeze actually makes the system less effective at cooling.
Of course we must...
The Paradox Kit is installed on my M1009.
Finally had a break today; we are very busy with Bow hunters and late season guests, but I got a few hours to install the kit.
Have not had a chance to drive anywhere yet.
I ran it till it reached operating temperature to check for leaks and help the...
Warning!!
Remember the big wire to your starter bendix is HOT all the time even with the key off!
Disconnect battery first.
Not assuming you didn't know that.
Look, you have replaced the starter before.
It makes sense to suspect the wiring now.
We are talking about a maybe 3 amp circuit at the...
The solenoid under the dash is sending power to the starter solenoid.
Maybe you do have a mechanical problem with the Bendix solenoid on your starter.
Or you could have a problem with the ground and positive power supply to that Bendix.
I am trying to eliminate the electrical supply first...
