got here yesterday afternoon. things are coming together just fine. I have my junk pile parked on the top of the hill with the doors all open enjoying the breeze. alot of folks already coming by to look at the trucks looking forward to seeing everyone.

idle is adjusted thru a hole in the back of the pump. a plug is removed and the tool is threaded into the hole. the tool looks like a screw driver with a packing type fitting. I dont know the real name of the tool but its used with the engine running. maybe another method is possible but this...

it is possible to get a pipe wrench on it. apply heat to the bevel area before you try turning.

It was a short road trip for myself but some of the guys had to travel 3-4 hrs. the event was a combined meeting day for the GLMVPA and MMMT. VVA Chapter 274 allowed us to use their facility.

Not that uncommon for units that have sat for a long time for the pressure plate and flywheel to rust. sometimes this makes the disc stick to one or both of these items. not hard to break it loose.

I cant swear that they are all original but the chains on my m35 winches are quite a bit lighter than the chains on my 5 ton winches.

Im pretty sure the number is on the left frame rail on all of my 5 tonners. its near the front shock mount. also on mine the dash tags are not all stamped.

lift cap is 25,000 tow cap 80,000 yes the color is not the greatest but it works so well that i can overlook it:)

this turned out to be a non military model. still Very cool and effective. I love this little gadget.

looks like an upright mount. those are normaly used behind the cab. anything can be made to work but it may be easier to get the correct winch.
