GM did NOT use a 44 in the blazers. It is and only is (proper English) a corporate ten bolt 8.5 inch axle. Having said that the spindles and axles can be interchanged but NOT the carrier.
I use dryer sheets. I have yet to install then in the 08 due to working on it , but maybe I should anyhow.
I also just finished replacing a engine wiring harness in the gf's car today due to mice eating it!! It's been a very bad year here.
Why not spend the 14$ and get the correct military/nos unit ? I have never used anything but the correct replacement and I don't have half the problems I have seen here
My GF use to run our Tahoe tires at 10 PSI all the time :doh: and for some act of god never had a blow out.
I have sense put new tires on and had the rims ground down and the beads sealed when the new tires were put on.
I would think that at 15 PSI on a tire that strong would be ok if not...
remove the front sensors. Clean the mating points of the sensor and wheel bearing. Rust pushes the sensor away from the reluctor ring.
If you pull the ABS fuse you will lose a lot more then ABS. GM ran lots of stuff thru the ABS fuse to prevent people from removing the fuse.
IF YOU MUST...
Take a leaf out of the front and add a zero rate to keep the ride hight, take a 4 leafs out in the rear and add a 2" block to keep the stock ride hight. Replace the shocks with monro blue shocks (smaller tubes) and that should help out a ton!!
The 6.5 turbo has a higher pop pressure. I installed a hummer pump and 6.5 injectors on my last M1008 and she rolled smoke like crazy. Not too much power but way over fueled. You may have to play with fuel settings of you put in 6.5 injectors with a 6.2 pump. I would do some research (Google) on...
